Teenagers aren't known for exhibiting sound judgement. Adults aren't either but teenagers even more so.

I'm going to make a wild guess and say it involved buying pot.

Displaced - I don't think Natalee was with THIS guy. He is one of the two security guards that was arrested. They were security guards for the vacant hotel next to the Holiday Inn where she was staying. I'm wondering if the three guys really did bring her back to the hotel, and these two approached her and told her that the front door of Holiday Inn was locked, and she had to go to a back door to get in, and that they would escort her. Since they were security guards, she probably would believe them. They could have then kidnapped her. Just a thought.

BTW, the mother of the girl, Amy Bradley, who went missing seven years ago, was on a local radio talk show this morning. They're getting ready to replay it right now on another talk show. Her name is Iva Bradley. This girl was spotted in a brothel in Aruba recently, and asked a "customer" to help her. However, he didn't report it right away because he was in an area he wasn't supposed to be. When he did report it, the brothel was found burned to the ground

That's really strange -- I had not heard of a prior disappearance until I read your link.

Is it possible that these girls are kidnapped and then sold off to serve as prostitutes? Horrible thought, but DBF's linked article makes you wonder ....

My question is,where were the so called chaperones? It's my understanding that there were some there at the bar with the kids.Maybe a better question is,why the hell did they permit those kids to go to the bar in the first place?

Unfortunately it does happen BamaLuver, and children as well. They end up in places like Thailand, Columbia, Venezuela, and some Arab countries. It's sad and makes one sick to think about it.

Don't know why someone isn't looking for her in some of those places rather than Aruba still. Maybe someone is without us knowing.

Yes this is what I cant figure out and I'm still wondering why nobody is questioning this. I know the girl is missing but what the hell were they thinking? How could they let her walk out to a car and just leave with someone? So much for supervision cuz I dont care what anyone says there was NONE. Let's just hope she is still alive and someone finds her. If she ends up in a brothel best believe it will be far from Aruba because she is so hot at the moment with people looking for her.

Natalee Holloway isnt the only one thats missing from Aruba. Now today on Foxnews they said Accidental death not ruled out. Explain something to me please. How can you have an accidental death and not have a body?

Could drowning be a possibility? What are the currents like in Aruba? Could her body have been washed out to sea?

Sorry for the morbid tone, but this is a viable scenario.

Just beat me

Just beat me to it. I was wondering the same thing.

Imagine, it's 2am and bars are closing and this girl is a bit drunk and soooooo sad to see her fun vacation ending. A group says to he "This is your last night? Don't go to sleep, let's stay up for the sunrise on the beach!". Then someone suggests a skinny dip.....and tragedy ensues. Maybe the people she was with panic and try to say they saw her leave with someone else, or claim to have dropped her off, etc. Why? Who knows. Liability. Maybe they are locals and the local cops are known to scapegoat innocent folks to protect the tourists (not saying it's so, just speculating why they wouldn't own up to everything should this have occurred).

I'm not saying this is definitely what happened but it's certainly a realistic scenario.

Let's all pray for her and her family.

The whole prostitution theory just doesn't sound very plausible. Lots of conjecture and anecdotal evidence.

It's far more likely that she drowned in a strong current.

How hard is it go missing for very long on an 8.5 miles by 8.5 miles (roughly 75 square miles) island?

I have been to Aruba and stayed at Oranjestad near the Holiday Inn where they stayed. It is a very nice tourist area but there is a seedy undercurrent of drugs and prostitution there just outside of the tourist areas. The strip clubs are open brothels. This island is in the drug smuggling routes right off the coasts of Venezuela and Colombia. Most of the European tourist women go topless and some even frolic nude on the beaches. I am wondering why a High School group would go there anyway and then I have to wonder why the girl was not completely watched out for by the adults in charge and especially by her friends. A strick buddy system should have been in place and overseen by the adults. I mean what was she thinking leaving a bar at 2 am with three strange men to go to a beach. I can't believe that very unsafe risky behavior myself. Kidnapping girls for prostitution and and "white" slavery has gone on in the Caribbean, Central and South America for a long while. There are numerous cases of young white females that just come up missing without a trace down there. It is not a safe place for a blonde teenager to be wandering around at early hours of the morning by herself or even with a buddy. I pray for her and her family that she will be found alive.

The news coming out of Aruba has been very confusing lately. It has been back and forth between one of them admitting he killed her to now what they are officially saying that ‘something bad happened.’ There has been another arrest this morning.

Possible break in case of missing teen on Aruba
Holloway’s family continues to believe she is alive, said Jar Twitty, the teen’s step-uncle. Rumors that she is dead are “an aggressive interpretation” of what police are saying, he told The Associated Press.

NBC News reported late Friday that FBI agents had met with Holloway's parents and told them the FBI could not say whether Holloway was dead. The agents reaffirmed that authorities in Aruba are not looking for a body at this time.

The latest news about Natalee Holloway. I feel for the family going through this unbelievable emotional roller coaster. That Police Department in Aruba are about as unprofessional as they come.

Aruba officials say probe at ‘very crucial’ point; Ala. teen’s family says no body found
The news from a police chief — later denied — that “something bad happened” to a missing Alabama honors student when three young men took her to the beach fueled tension and rumors Saturday, forcing the woman’s family to announce that no body had been found.

But no one has been charged in the case, and statements later Saturday seemed to leave the investigation where it was several days ago.

A statement from the office of Attorney General Caren Janssen late Saturday said “Information given by non-official sources jeopardizes the ongoing investigation and creates expectations and situations that are not based on fact.”
'Nobody Stands Above the Law'
Aruba — Finding 18-year-old Natalee Holloway (search) is "priority No. 1" for Aruba and no one will be above the law in the investigation and prosecution of those responsible for the American's disappearance, the Dutch Caribbean island's prime minister told FOX News on Friday.

Prime Minister Nelson Orlando Oduber (search) called a meeting Friday morning with Aruba's chief of police and other officials to determine if more assistance is needed in the search, which has so far turned up no evidence of Holloway's whereabouts.

Agree. The family has been wrung through the wringer. On TV last night Natalee's mom looked like she had just about "had it". If they haven't hired a P.I., they should.

Well I believe there are 10-13 FBI agents down there working the case. The problem is jurisdiction. The FBI can't run the case for the local Police. I just heard on Fox News that the blood found was in the trunk of one of the 3 teenagers car. That is terrible news.
