As a Bama fan, I am worried for all the reasons wailed and hashed out ad nauseam all over the board as we await Saturday's big game. However, in the spirit of fairness and balance, these are a few reasons why I wouldn't be overly confident if I were an LSU fan:
1. Les Myles. He has Nick Saban's players, but his track record didn't merit an NFL coaching offer and the man whose did is no longer coaching for the Purple & Gold.
2. Home field advantage. LSU hasn't won a road game this year against a team still ranked in the top 25. Of course, niether has Alabama, but as the Tide is the home team, we'll let that slide.
Point being is the jury may still be out on both Myles and the Tigers with respect to playing a highly ranked team in a big time, hostile environment.
There are more I could think of such as:
3. Has LSU played a passing team?
4. Has LSU played a strong defensive team?
5. Has LSU beaten a team this season with an experienced coaching staff? (Tubby doesn't count due to 5 missed field goals -- Aburn gave this away)
I think there are some legitimate questions left to be answered regarding Mile's Bengals. What do you think? RTR.
