Re: Hatcher?

other boards reporting he is the #1 choice. He runs basically the same thing that Franklin does. Wont that be interesting.

Re: Hatcher?

i heard one pro and one college assistans were the choices but it does make sense to bring in someone like that.

Re: Hatcher?

hmm that was gross there Biscuit LOL

Hatcher being the no. 1 choice with a coach who was mentioned before Applewhite was hired plus a former SEC west cord.

Re: Hatcher?

I would be very surprised if Jimbo comes to Bama. He has a sweet situation at FSU. If he does, that means things at FSU went very very sour, which is always likely at that school.

Re: Hatcher?

Hatcher would be a great pick-up. He has all kinds of Georgia connections. The only problem with him is he would jump ship within a year or two also. He is all about career advancement.

I would love to have Jimbo, but it is just not happening. He has it made at FSU, and he's not going anywhere. And even if the proverbial you-know-what was hitting the fan down there, he would just stick around another year or two and get the big payout. If he leaves now, he has to pay that.

Moreover, he's wanting to be a head coach, not an offensive coordinator. The only way he leaves FSU, if indeed he does, is to take another head coaching job.

If he really wanted to be offensive coordinator at Alabama, he would have taken the job twelve months ago.

Re: Hatcher?

I agree, Hatcher would be a great choice. I would love to have Norm Chow, but something tells me Norm is probably not going to end up at the Capstone. Crazier things have happened though.

What true top coach wouldn't?

If you've got a really good coordinator, you are just going to have to accept the fact that they generally aren't going to last that long.

NFL Network talked of UCLA and Neuheisel going after him. Makes sense, a return to LA. That is where he was before leaving for the Titans. I do not expect him to be coming to Alabama.
