Is it Tennessee or Auburn? I see plenty of animosity for Auburn, but if you visit a Tennessee board, they consider Alabama theirs.

Auburn is just annoying. On the other hand, Knoxville could get firebombed and I wouldn't complain one bit. There's a difference.

When I was a freshman ('57), we'd only been playing them for nine years (excluding the stone age). And then, we wouldn't have, except the legislature decreed that we must. It's UT, hands-down, and I'd think it'd be healthier for the state to transfer AU to the east division, where they belong geographically. That would go a long way towards eliminating the annual obsession, which used to be only on the AU side, but which has crept over to the Bama side. As my BIL, the former trustee with an honorary doctorate from AU says, "The fans on both sides have become too avid."

There is a reason Alabama/Auburn is consistently ranked the top rivalry in the nation - and it's not because it takes a backseat to Alabama/UT.

AlexTupelo, That was a classic video. Myself, I can't really tell between Auburn or Tennessee, I look forward to both games about the same. But, I can occasionally (very rarely) pull for Tennessee for sake of SEC, but I have never really pulled for Auburn that I can remember, so it is Auburn for me, but I am torn.
Im going to say tenn., but aub. is a close 2nd but i hate both so much that the order coukd flip flop.

It has to be Aubarn,I have more Cow College friends that like to rub in the deal about 6 fingers and it has always been the barners. I used to somewhat like the vols back in the Johnny Major days but the big pumpkin changed all that so now I hate them both almost equally but not quite.
I'm just going to restate my opinion on Auburn...

I've only been a fan/student for 2+ years but for me, it's Auburn. Yeah I hate Tennessee also, but considering we beat them handily last season and should've beaten them the year before, they just don't fire me up like Auburn does. They've been on a continual decline recently and I think it'll continue unless they unload Fulmer and find a new, good coach.
Auburn, I just can't stand them. I went to Auburn during this past spring for a track meet, and I realize that there is bias in this statement, but who honestly would want to go to school there? Texas A&M and College Station, TX (which I lived in for a year before I transferred to UA) is a better city to live in. Also, to me, they act just like UCLA fans would around USC fans - obnoxious and essentially would rather root against their rival than root for their school.
If we beat them on Thanksgiving weekend this year, Tuscaloosa is going to be biggest party in the entire country.

But what if you miss and end up destroying the utopia of Opelika??? How will the world ever recover??
Just center the blast on the AU Poultry Science complex (I didn't make that up) and Phenix City will be OK.

Anyway, Tennessee is our biggest rival. Alabama Polytechnic Institute (Aubarn) is our most hated rival. It's like comparing UGA to UF and UGA to GT.
When our program is not competing at limited force, API is an afterthought. Period
