Your favorite, if you had to choose just one...

Mine is the Airedale Terrier.

I used to breed, train and show American and English Cocker Spaniels. They are so alike yet so different. Had 2 males I was particularly proud of that finished all their AKC titles and went to Westminister twice but never made the big ring. Now we just have dogs and love them the same.

Doberman Pinscher. Smart, loyal, and very capable! To me, they are the perfect breed!

My favorite, although I've never owned one, is the German Shepherd. So intelligent, loyal, and fearless - what's not to love? I hope to have one someday, but only when I have the time to train him well. An untrained or poorly trained German Shepherd isn't worth having.

I've always been a Strooch guy. (cross between a stray & a pooch...:biggrin2:) That's what we've had & what we have now. Ours looks sort of like a lab puppy, except that he's about 8 years old.

However, exiled, jr. bought a mini pinscher last year and that dog is AWESOME! So, mrs. exiled & I are now min-pin fans as well. jr.'s pooch looks like a doberman that got caught in the "honey, I shrunk the kids" ray. (not all min-pins look like dobermans from what I see/hear/read) Plus, Beau has a great, sassy personality combined w/ a whole lot of cuddly-ness. He & I became buddies last year when I was in the midst of all the cancer surgeries & trtmts & thus was lying around the house a lot. Beau helped...;) Regrettably, he views our dog Sam as a large moving chew toy; Sam is not entirely thrilled with this view...:D

The min pins do look a lot like a dobie, but did you know that they aren't related? The name is misleading. Those little ones are a bit too yappy for me.

Yep, I knew that, courtesy of my son. exiled, jr. is a deliberative science type; thus, he had thoroughly researched the breed before buying. His is only "yappy" when we're outside & he's not. ;)
