I actually saw some good signs from Greg today. Only problem I saw is wish we would have ran it in when we were in position to score. I think he will be fine. The big thing is his record. 8 wins no losses.

You can't be serious. Everything that goes wrong is not the qb's fault.

I think we're trying to hard to "not be predictable."
Instead, we are not getting into a rhythm run blocking or passing because, heck, we don't know what our identity is.

I'd chalk it up to play calling. It's been awful. Mark had 3 carries before that final drive. You can't get in a rhythm running it 3 times in the half.
When it was 2nd and 2 from the 4 yard line, why on earth would you throw it twice? You run it down their throats. You have 7 plays to get the TD. It almost cost us. I can't believe how bad it's been. Our players have looked good out there. They've made most of the plays that have been called. When that happens but our production goes down, it's obviously on the guys calling the plays.

I think McElroy made a few bad reads today. Julio was wide open on a few plays and Greg never looked his way. Other then those few plays, he played better this week. I think any replace the QB talk is just stupid.
Play calling on the other hand has just been pathetic at times in the past few weeks. Looks like the coaches need the week off just as much as the players do.

I'm a little confused what happened to the Maze hookup that was Bamas bread and butter, and Gmacs go to receiver.

I like Gmac but the problem is at QB. The passing game is not producing in the clutch when we need it to convert 3rd downs. The run game is great from the wildcat but not great from the I. This was a great D we played against today and were it not for the Defense and Tiffin we get an L hung on us at home by UT and that hot shot new coach they've got. Gmac has not been the same for 4 games now.

I think this explains a whole lot. You could tell by watching that the defense is becoming fatigued. With more 3 and outs, from a rested defense, I think we should see the offense getting into more of a rythm.

We are getting too cute with the playcalling around the endzone and on 3rd and short(2-3 yards). Let's do what we do best and play smash mouth football when it counts. I understand that McElwain thinks that the opposing D coordinator is expecting us to do that, and maybe that's why he calls pass plays so much. But if we aren't executing it, go back to what our strength is.

Honestly guys... What did Gmac do wrong today.. he had several dropped balls and even more poor play calls.. I thought he played much better

Is it the QB's fault that we had about 5-6 dropped passes today? To change QB's going into the 9th game of the season during a championship run would not be beneficial. I understand your frustration, but do you really want a redshirt freshman leading the team going forward this season?

Guys lets not rush to calling for the backup. Remember he is the backup for a reason. Not only that When Star finally does hit the field he will be ready to go from having sat and watch for a couple years and being groomed. I think sitting will in the long run make him a better QB than say Pryor from Ohio. If you are a football player I can not think of a better place to be than Alabama. Here you will have the time to develop and not be forced on the field before you are ready. If you want to get prepared for the NFL come to Bama.

i can live with everything about the offense except the calls for back to back passes from the 4 when we only needed two freakin yards for a first down. that would have probably changed the entire complexion of the game had we run 22 or 3 right up their *** for the six points. and it would have made a statement after a beautiful drive that WAS going right up their ***!!!!!!!!!!!! :mad2:
