Just wanted to remind everyone that Greg will do his interview for the Rhodes Scholarship on Saturday. This young man has embodied everything it means to be an Alabama football player. He has done it with poise, grace, and confidence. Just a shout out to say, "Good Luck Greg!!"

:BigA:

I'll echo that sentiment. Mods, this should be pinned at the top of the board.

Good call. Stuck.

Big congrats to GMac on getting to the final round. Given the demands on his time throughout his career, only having 1 B is also an amazing accomplishment. I only had rec-league flag football games to get prepared for and didn't come close to that ! :D

I'm pretty confident that Auburn won't have a Rhodes Scholarship canidate any time in the next 50 years. :)

Greg is the epitome of class and character. Great leader for this football team and a fine representative of the school. A true gentleman and scholar:BigA:

Yes, best of luck to GMAC in his interview this weekend, as well as with his post season football related awards. I'm hoping he can bring home the Johnny U trophy, if for no other reason than for the Jay barker comparisons to continue growing.

Certainly not on the football team!

Not sure "luck" is what Greg needs...he's done all the hard work, and earned his way to where he is now. I guess it proves what my dad always told me - you make your own luck! Proud of you, Greg!! RTR!

Just think Greg didn't have to buy a stolen laptop & then try to get rid of it before the Police could confiscate it!

Hey he didn't turn in papers that were done by someone else either!:wink:

Just goes to show ya the difference in the recruiting between the barn (how low can ya go) and the Capstone! :BigA:

He just keeps finding ways to make us proud that he is on our team.

Best Wishes to you Greg McElroy and Roll Tide!

What an incredible accomplishment to be a finalist for a Rhodes scholarship. What an incredible accomplishment to be a two-year starter at QB for Alabama. What an incredible accomplishment to win an SEC and National Championship. What an incredible accomplishment to only have two losses as a starter in HS and in college.

And he's a great person to boot.

All I've got to say is . . . next Friday when they introduce the seniors, I will lose my voice. We've had some great ones come through the program; but GMac stands just as tall or taller than any of them.
