Auburn's approach to recruiting, tell them what they want to hear and jump around like fools on the sidelines will go over well for a while, they just better back up that system with wins, or it will fall apart quickly.

I just saw this myself.

Winston says he's not an Alabama fan, but he likes the way the Crimson Tide staff approaches the game.

"They stick to business. You don't see their coaches high-fiving," Winston said.

Maybe that's the biggest disconnect between the two generations. One of Calloway's attractions to Auburn is the theatrics of Tigers assistant coach Trooper Taylor on the sideline.
If this is all 100% fact then BC can stick with his new team. He's definitely going to the right place if he enjoys that stuff.

If he wants to go jump around and act a fool instead of taking this opportunity seriously then let him. He wont fit in at Bama anyway. I like the dad. I cant believe Brent left his family in the dark and made the announcement without them knowing he was changing schools. Major disrespect to the family that took him in. I no longer want the kid to switch. Hate to see you make such a huge mistake Brent.

If he wants to switch back and Coach Saban wants him then I'm all for taking him back. I will believe it when I see it. You can't blame a 17 or 18 year old kid for letting his emotions get the best of him. How many of us did not make the wrong decision based on emotions at that age.

I know AU recruited 3 RBs last year (Dyer, Lattimore, Seastruck), but I have to wonder what Brent thinks of AU accepting one RB this week and still going for Crowell. If they get Crowell (I HIGHLY doubt they do, just saying if), they would have 3 RBs this class since Calloway was recruited as a RB. How are all those guys gonna play? Oh yea that's right... Brent isn't playing RB.

I think that the whole rb vs. lb issue is a smokescreen. I think that the real reason for his switch is twofold; competition is absolutely scary (he is 210 lbs and our lbs are 230-240) and he has become friends with several Aubbie commits.

If our coaches still have a spot for him and he still fits into what our coaches are looking for, then it's all good by me. Best of luck to Brent and his family regardless of how this plays out.

I would just like to echo once again what many posters have already said..... this years recruiting has been crazy weird. I hope this is just a one year thing and not something new.

I wonder if Malzahn has told BC why when he is recruiting other RBs he tells them Calloway projects as a LB.

Interesting to see him back on campus. I thought Jeffrey Lee over at the Bunker said that BC would be in Cyrus' ear all weekend during his AU visit

It is possible his parents had a few heart to hearts with him on his decision to switch. Also AU picked up another RB commit just the other day. It had to make him wonder would they give him a REAL shot at RB. I guess we'll find out shortly whether this trip means anything or not with his final decision.

I'm going to make a bold prediction and say that he switches his commitment back to Bama. Even if he does not switch back over to the "good guys", he's still just a kid and we have no idea what was going on in his mind? It really is disgraceful that some of us so-called adults were wishing harm upon him(according to BC) and bad-mouthing him.

My stance is/was that if he did not want to face stiff competition then Bama may not be the place for him 'cause CNS will play the guys who give us the best chance to win. See freshman C.J. Mosley. Regardless of what he decides, best of luck to the young man.

Bone just tweeted that BC is in T-Town for a visit.
this is an odd development, i've been hearing this kinda stuff but figured it was rumor. I don't imagine Auburn's continued recruitment of rb's after telling BC he was the RB they wanted all season did them any good. As soon as he lost that 5th star the Aub coaching staff may have lost some interest since thats al that matters over there.
