I have to admit that I have just stooped to an all time low by snooping on an Auburn thread. I'm sure they claim that every recruit in America is a "lock" for them, but they are saying some things I thought I would pass along. They are claiming that Cyrus is a done deal for them now. They claim that somebody that knows somebody that is 13th cousins with somebody said that even Arie is telling this. I know you can't believe everything that you read, but this still made me feel uneasy. Anyway, I guess we'll know soon enough, but until then I'm still hoping for him.

its the same line we've heard with every player they've recruited. Luginbill stirred up a bee hive, which was his intention. There is honestly no way of interperating him leaning one way or the other. All we know is bamas been on him longer, and his brother plays for us. If a barner told you the sky was blue you should have your doubts.

Picking auburn kind of goes against CK's philosophy. It's a humiliation to CK's intelligence. A player with his physical and mental power can be a good player anywhere, but bama and cns make them super stars.

Bad enough you have to visit such trashy places, but do you really have to bring the rank rumors back with you????:puke:
Well I guess I deserved that. I'll tuck my tail between my legs and whimper off now.:frown:

And realize, we have a close family member of Cyrus' on here and he says that Cyrus is still very much undecided. I am certain that he has more info than someone on ITAT.

Recruiting Insider - Cyrus Kouandjio discusses his college choices
Cyrus Kouandjio discusses his college choices

DeMatha senior Cyrus Kouandjio, a 6-foot-7, 322-pound offensive tackle, is considered by most recruiting experts to be the nation's No. 1 recruit. In this interview with The Post, Kouandjio talks about his options. He said he is considering Iowa, Auburn, Alabama and New Mexico. Kouandjio's older brother Arie, a DeMatha graduate, currently plays football at Alabama.

Just b/c he's visiting AU don't be afraid. He wouldn't even have them in his top 4 if Miami's coaching staff didn't fall apart. Why should we be worried about a team that just got on his list a month ago. Be more worried about Iowa then AU.

Well the typical Awbrens line of "you can't play right away at Bama" won't work with left tackle. Given his size and skill set he could very well land the spot as a true freshman. :) no worries with the big man! Roll Tide!

both auburn and bama only play one LT at a time and both have a vacant spot right now, so their typical playing time line doesnt really apply here. This time they will use "you dont want to ruin your brother's career do you" or they'll just go straight for hard cash. They need this one more than any recruit on their board, not for his skills but for what getting cyrus would cause us to melt down and they could talk about stealing one from bama.

btw, haven't yall heard yet that auburn thinks that L Collins is now a lock to switch from LSU to them on signing day. That means they will get Westerman, Cyrus, and Collins...thats the three highest rated tackles in the coutntry who the aubs all believe will be in auburn next year...yet they do love to use the depth charts of other teams to recruit.

No. 1 offensive tackle Cyrus Kouandjio leaves Auburn undecided | al.com

There's a big opportunity for me coming in and get some significant playing time freshman year," Kouandjio said. "A lot of the O-line is leaving," he said. It leaves a big opportunity for me is basically what they said."

Kouandjio's brother, Arie, plays at Alabama.

"It doesn't mean anything to me, really. He's not mad.We never talk about recruiting," Cyrus said Sunday.

Kouandjio said he'd talk over his prospects with his family. He's considering Auburn, Alabama, Iowa, Southern California and New Mexico, but he's says he has written them down in any kind of order.

"It's all in my head," he said.

Kouandjio said he was impressed that offensive line coach Jeff Grimes stuck with Auburn when he had other job opportunities after the season.

"That means they're pretty stable," Kouandjio.

Doesn't sound real positive to me.

He hasn't ever said much that I would read as inspiring for us. There were those rumors about his feelings on Arie's recruitment this time last year, but they appear more and more false...

The way I see it, the only possible way he would go to Auburn is if he were intensely competitive with his brother. To the point of wanting to go to a rival school to compete against him. I don't know anything about their relationship, but I think it would be very unusual for a bro to go that route.

Actually, that sounded pretty positive. usually a recruit is pumped after the OV, saying he loved this and he loved that. Why didn't he stay until sunday afternoon?

I just think he's enjoying the recruiting process and traveling kinda like the Julio ordeal when he came out of Foley. Remember we were worried there too and Julio said afterwards it was Bama 100% the whole time but I think he still went to Oklahoma and a few other schools. I think we get him unless him and his brother just has a bad relationship together (I hated my brother when I was young, but we had 9 years apart).

If the relationship is good I think we get him in the end.

Actually that article makes me happy. Based on everything the Barn writers and their fans with inside sources have been saying I woul dthought he would say they were leading after the visit. That sounds like every other visit to me with nothing said by him to indicate who is leading if any. Basically that is what he said about Iowa and UA. So him being a Barn lock is no where close for them based on that.
