article claim Sarah Palin hooked up with bballer Glen Rice..Tea Party jumps off cliff

Exactly. Otherwise, this thread would never have been started.

right....'cause we never talk about politics and/or sex on the Non-Sports board......

I have no interest in minimizing it or maximizing. I have an interest in making jokes about it and reading everyone else's lewd comments. Purely voyeuristic. ;)

hmmmm i made a big deal about the paris hilton video. does that mean im a blondist?

Or if I deem all said bimbos(the Kardashians, the Palins, Paris, the Lohans, Kate Plus 8, the Octomom) attention-whores, does that make me a whorist? Or a whore-monger? :D

Oh the hilarity. Velvet Jones & I are tickled at this article, this information, the posts under the article, as well as the replies here.

But when it comes down to it, who really cares man? I couldn't care less about Palin or who she's bedded. She's an attractive woman (physically at least) and I'm pretty sure she was even better looking when the body was still tight. Two young people. Raging hormones. Curiosity. A few drinks. Splash....happens everyday

it shouldn't matter. But, again, what will happen when/if this hits the mainstream? I can see the religious right trying to be okay with it, but doing a bad job of hiding the fact that their princess not only had a premarital encounter but *gasp*, with a colored feller? That's a sin! Read your Bible! I can't remember where it is, but it's in there! ;)

I can see the Dems trying to gig the right with this, just to get a response.

I can see the Tea Party having no comment.

Yeah, I can see it turning into something that it never should.

Plus, we get to have with it before anyone else! :)

Hmm, I can see exactly how this might play out:

[A liberal reporter goes out to interview the public, especially Tea Party members, about their reaction to this story.]
Lib Reporter: Excuse me, sir, are you a member of the Tea Party?
Man: No, I'm not a member. However, I do agree with some of the things they do.
Lib Reporter: Great. Have you heard about the reports of Sarah Palin's affair with an African American Basketball player?
Man: Yes, I have.
Lib Reporter: Well, what do you think about that?
Man: Well, I suppose it's not really any of my business. I mean, stuff like that happens all the time and it was a long time ago - before she was married - so I don't really think it's a big deal.
Lib Reporter: What do you think about it from a moral standpoint?
Man: Well, I believe in marriage, and I think that it's best for sex to only be a part of marriage. Of course, I can't really say anything about her situation. I mean, that's between her and God.
Lib Reporter: So, would you say that you're disappointed in Sarah Palin after hearing about this affair?
Man: Well, I guess I am a little bit. But, hey, everybody makes mistakes, right?
Lib Reporter: I guess so. Thank you for your time.

The next day, the reporter's article appears in the newspaper with the following headline:

"Tea Party Spokesperson condemns Sarah Palin and interracial affairs, says party has lost all confidence in and is extremely disappointed in Palin."

I think the biggest deal will be made on Saturday Night Live and The Daily Show. Also, the Colbert Report.
