Alabama will beat 14 "overrated" opponents this year

After reading some comments on CBS, and other fan sites, that basically state that Arkansas was "overrated" and Alabama "isn't that good", I'm going go out on a limb here and say that if we go 14-0 it will be against 14 overrated opponents. </sarcasm>

I'm not terribly impressed with LSU at this point, and the media is gushing over them. Oregon is a soft team that will never win anything outside of the PAC 12. Mississippi State is mediocre at best. West Virginia isn't a great team by any stretch and LSU gave up over 400 yards passing to them.

The point I'm trying to make is this stuff will all come out in the wash, and I love where Alabama is sitting at right now. No defense is close to what Alabama is putting on the field right now, not even LSU.

If we beat a team and they aren't then considered overrated, the feeling will be they lost to us because someone was hurt and couldn't play. :wink: There will always be an excuse why Bama won from some quarters, instead of a reason.

It's ok. OUr team is as good as we all KNOW they are and that's ALL that matters. I would just love to see total domination for the remainder of this season, like what we saw yesterday. Then they will all be right becuase every team other than BAMA will be overrated.....

The good thing is that with our schedule and preseason rank, we will win all the marbles regardless of what anyone says if we beat those opponents.

If you listen long enough, with all the talking that goes on at ESPN and others, you will find someone that is going to tee you off. For every one of them, there are two that say we have the team to win
a NC this year. Penn State was probably overrated. Florida is not, and LSU will certainly not be.

I have a Question Did you think Vern was Drunk? Some of the stuff coming out of his mouth was wierd. When you win in the SEC there are no pushovers, even Vandy has stepped it up. I think the rest of the country just does not understand just how hard & physical it is to win in this Conference. No One is over rated IMO.

I think USCe is a little overrated, and I think Florida is a little underrated. I think they should switch places in the polls and it would be a little more accurate.

We only beat Texas because Colt got hurt.

We didn't beat Boise or TCU (counter-argument: I don't recall them beating us either).

The SEC is down (heard every September when a prediction fails).

All our tough games are at home (nobody else cared when everybody had off weeks last year)

We don't have S Carolina on our schedule (but they don't have us either)

Our OOC is soft (how could we know Penn St would stink 15 years ago'when the game was originally set up?)

We won't play Boise in Idaho (they won't play us in BDS either)

Saban oversigns (he still has the same number of players)

Alabama is on probation (so are LSU, Oregon, USC, Boise, N Carolina, OU, FSU)

Arkansas was overrated (so were Georgia, Oregon, and FSU)

Arkansas best defenders were hurt (which obviously explains the punt return, pick six, fake FG - which alone would have won the game - and 17 yards rushing).

I could go on but if we win out, we're gonna be the champs.

Most of the rest of the country can't accept the fact that they are sub-standard.
They run up the score on a bunch of 'Push-Overs', and think they are 'Contenders'.

I don't mind 'The Pretenders', calling us overrated or our opponents overrated.
Yep... Some even called The Longhorns overrated when we ground them into the dirt in 09.
The Horns are of course in denial, and still complain they would have won
if their QB hadn't been squashed like a bug.
One of those teams was OVERRATED.

Alabama's defense is "overrated" and the beat goes on. I've been told since Saturday evening that Arkansas and Penn State were both "overrated".

The bottom line is when it comes to Alabama some fanbases and media outlets are always going to have an excuse. They're never going to give Alabama credit for anything. If we win it is because the other team was "overrated". I had my wife's LSU fan uncle tell me that La Tech was "that good" when they took Miss St into overtime Saturday. Because we all "know" it couldn't of been because Miss St is overrated because LSU beat them.

It doesn't matter. Let'em "overrate" us all the way 'til November. I hope we stay right where wer'e at in the rankings. After watching our team Saturday and knowing what kind of offense Petrino puts on the field I have absolutely ZERO concerns about the direction of this team. I did before but Saturday ended it for me. That freakin' defense is AT WORST, just as good as LSU's.

I am happy right where we are too. # 2 and 3 in various polls. After being at the game on Saturday I was very impressed with what we were doing. The funny thing is when I went back and watched the game on DVR...it looked even better on TV. Watching it for some reason on tv really was impressive. We completed smashed the Piggies
