I don't think I am too high on promoting Groh but I am curious as to who will be interviewed or looked at if it isn't Groh

Is Pat Hill an OC? Didn't he recommend CJM to CNS when we were looking for an OC after Applewhite. Just a thought, I really don't know anything about Pat Hill other than I think he has worked with CNS before.

Pat Hill was a TE/OL coach in the NFL, prior to being hired by Fresno State in 1997. I don't imagine Coach Saban will hire a former head coach as a coordinator. It wouldn't fit the profile of young, up-and-coming assistants that he has pegged for the OC and DC spots in the past.

Paul Chryst. He's a former Wisconsin player, and I doubt he leaves the school for anything other than a head coaching job.

Scot Loeffler would not be a bad choice . He has a great resume when it comes to working with quarterbacks .

That's the key--what's their record as far as developing QBs. That's CJM's greatest strength, imo.

That was an interesting post. I just looked at several of the top OC's listed in the link. Apparently they do not realize you need to recruit. Most of them have 0 commitments at this point, per Rivals. McElwain has 6 lined up, with 2 being five stars.

If we don't promote from within look for a young guy from the NFL. Saban's staff is normally people on their way up, not their way down.
