"... We have great guys in those areas and sometimes we just wonder why we don't use those guys," he continued on WCNN. "But we're not the one calling the plays. We still have to go out and execute what the coaches and coordinators are calling. We can't complain as players, but sometimes we do question that.

"It's a learning situation for us, a learning situation for the LSU football team and I definitely expect to see us back in the championship next year.
I wonder if he thinks they played the right QB?

Only one person kept fumbling the snap. Only one person threw an interception. Only one person pitched the ball, to a RB, that was about to be crushed, behind the line.

So, they should have spread things out more? How? One team was prepared for that, and they executed.

Oh.........wait....throw the ball down-field.......right..........bring in the guy who already threw 7 INTs! Guess that is what he meant.

J.J. needs to zip his lip. Like everybody else at LSU, they're looking for someone to blame. Fans are blaming J.J. They're blaming Les and whoever's the flavor of the month.
The bottom line is, if he's looking for someone to blame, look no further than Nick Saban, Kirby Smart, Jim McElwaine and the entire Alabama roster. Yep J.J. if you could have only thrown the ball downfield......... well you did and got lucky a couple of times, but for the most part Upshaw, Hightower, Sunseri and company were in your face, or you were fumbling around trying to find the ball and they were on your back.
This article is a big laugh. Nobody in Red Stick is ready to man up and admit they just got walloped by a great team and there's nothing they can do to change that... Call the Waaaaaaaaaaambulance !!

I will admit that the genius at LSU that thought they could get to the edges on us by running the option needs to have his salary docked. I think they truly believed, as one LSU player said, that Bama LBs were fat and slow........LOL !!

Wouldn't have mattered much much as to what they might have tried on 01/09. They weren't gonna have much success PERIOD on that night.

Bottom line is we held them to 331 yard TOTAL for 2 games they punted 15 times to our 5! Our "D" dominated both games! It doesn't matter who called what or who played..it was going to get ugly.

I think he's right, horrible play calling. His poor performance just undermines anything he has to say(as was mentioned before, they didn't call for a missed snap on the sideline).

They might ought to remember that six of their nine points came because they started one possession at the Tide 25 due to OT and one in the Tide ten due to a pick. In other words, the only time they got inside the ten with four plays their great play calling netted three points.

Absolutely correct! I don't care what plays their OC called. We were prepared for everything. Roll Tide!

The problem with the offense was that it was built on the idea that they have more team talent. Against Alabama, that thinking goes out the window.
