It was widely speculated that Alabama would bring in two QBs in the 2013 class. It seems McLeod's camp performance was enough to get the go-ahead to commit. He's a solid pick-up out of Georgia, and a teammate of Tyren Jones.

Kinda wonder what they see in him. We're the only big school that offered...and no in-state schools offered him.

He did have an Oklahoma State offer and was really high on them until they took Luke Del Rio. Either way, if our staff took his commitment, then they obviously see something in him. Welcome and RTR Parker!

I think the staff sees alot of upside with him. Plus he knows that Bateman is the guy in this class and is probably willing to work his way in. We do not need another P Sims situation. Also in regards to offers A Morris was commited to Wake Forest until we came calling and I think he will surprise people.

I don't wonder what they see in him because whatever it is Saban liked it and I am most definitely not in any position to question it. What DID come to my mind is could he be a candidate to play some TE of he doesn't find a place in the QB rotation? (i.e. Brad Smelley)

The best part is him and Bateman I read will both be EEs. If AJ stays another year, which I think he will, we would have 5 scholly QBs in the spring. Maybe the staff feels AJ is leaving and does not want to take the chance. It will be nice to have atleast 4 scholarship QB on the roster at one time that are actually QBs.

Side note: Last time I saw hair that color, it was on Gary Rutledge. Hope Mr. McLeod leaves here with "Rooster"'s W-L record.
Knowledgeable posters here have said that AJ has repeatedly stated his intention to leave after the 2012 season. I think that would be a mistake on AJ's part, but these posters are incredibly reliable, and I believe them.

I think he was just curious that's all, I'm sure he has all the faith in the world in Coach Saban, fans will always be curious. I think the kid will be a good QB in Saban's system.

He is a guy with a high ceiling and not a threat to scare off Bateman. Perfect developmental QB to RS, add depth, and wait his turn.
