On Poggi he has made plans to take an official visit to Alabama. The source we have on this is as close as it gets to Poggi. Also heard it from the other side.

On a side note David Dawson was the commitment Reggie Ragland and DeMarcus Walker tweeted about that night. He called several UA commitments and told them he was committing to UA. However UA had Hill back in the fold and passed.

From another board, but several writers are reporting Poggi will visit next week. This is big and he seems to be serious. Hoke will pull any offer and has already if a commit takes a visit. The source is supposedly his father , who is his HC and at the combine this week.
That cant be true. Both Walker and Ragland said the player was a skill player from Florida. David Dawson is obviously neither of them.

There was a lot of speculation that it was Dawson, but once Hill came on his OV and rumor swirled Hill had flipped shortly after Dawson commttied to UM. Prior to this Dawson had just set up his OV to UA for Jan 11th and rumors were that he wanted to commit to UA on his visit. So who knows but it does sound like our staff passed on him.

Seen where Kendall Beckwith is making an announcement at the UA game. Down to us and LSU. Anyone have a feel for where he's leaning?

UNDER ARMOUR TEAM HIGHLIGHT TOP PERFORMERS
1. RB ALVIN KAMARA, NORCROSS (GA.)
The more I see Kamara the more I'm convinced he has what it takes to be an every down back at the next level. He has terrific lower body strength combined with terrific speed and vision, and broke off another long run during Wednesday's session to add to his already impressive week. I'm excited to see how he performs when he is turned loose in Friday's game.

RB Alvin Kamara looks bigger than you'd think. There's no doubt he's going to be a good college running back, and not just a third-down back. He can be an every-down guy.
I'm thinking combo RB/WR like Percy Harvin. IIRC he said his game is a lot like Percy's.

This is what I recall also. It seemed Walker and Ragland were close to this player and Dawson had never visited T-town or met Walker and Ragland so I'm not sure of the accuracy of that post from another site.

Waiting until NSD could be dangerous for him with Bama. We can't see the future and we may even have decommitments open spots, but it would appear that if some big fish wanted to come into the fold (Foster, Liner, Bell, Tunsil) this whole thing would shut down right there and we'd watch players who want to come to Bama sign elsewhere.

Then again, we might miss on all 4 of those and even lose a committed guy or two.

I would love to Kamara jump on board (maybe as a silent) right away and give Nuss another huge weapon.

Is Luke Del Rio playing in any of these games? Seems like he would be if he finished as high as he did in the Elite 11.

Jonathan Allen had a productive day on the field, notching a 15+ yard sack in team drills and consistently getting penetration causing some issues for an overwhelmed East offensive line. Allen has added 30+ pounds of good weight in the last year and looks the part on the hoof- he looks college ready right now. Allen is still unsure on when he'll take his official to UA but it will be either Jan. 11 or Jan. 18. Allen's on-field ability is well established but he's also all class off the field as well.

Spoke with Tide commit Derrick Henry- who was getting ready for a photoshoot for Parade Magazine (may be their player of the year) and high school football legend Ken Hall, whose national career rushing record Henry broke. Henry is a finalist for the Kenneth Hall Trophy, which is Army's national player of the year. The award will be given out on Friday night. As expected, Henry has been recruiting top target Laremy Tunsil and several other prospects to UA. He referenced USC commit Kenny Bigelow, who tweeted he's interested in UA yesterday. Note- Bigelow told us afterwards he still plans on enrolling at USC next week. Henry added he still feels confident UA will get Tunsil.

Also of note, DE Joe Mathis (from California) says we are in his final four...and he has no clear favorite even though he'll announce Saturday. He says he is down to Alabama, USC, UCLA, and Washington... Some think he is a UW lean, but he said "Everyone thinks they are in front, but I like them all..."

Don Bosco, undecided, DE

This 6-foot-3, 230-pound Newark native is considered by many to be this year’s top recruit in North Jersey after recording a total of 21 sacks during his junior and senior seasons against high-level competition. Miami and Notre Dame are very interested, but the buzz is that he’ll pick Alabama during halftime of the U.S. Army All-American Bowl on Saturday in San Antonio.

We were on this kid early and maybe with Walker headed to UF he is the option. Kid is a beast,
