Actually, if you are familiar with the effects of pot you should realize that it makes a person less likely to initiate aggression.
THC impairs judgement. That is why it is illegal to drive a car while "high." TM used poor judgement attacking someone in a right to carry state. Maybe the pot had something to do with that.

i have seen some pretty ugly fights in my day, not a single one of them justified using deadly force.
Who was fighting????? TM had no injuries. If they were fighting, I'm sure Z would have done some damage to TM. However, with Z having all the injuries and TM with none, the evidence clearly shows assault and battery.

Maybe it will come out in testimony today but there is a good chance from what I have previously heard that the THC level in TMs blood could be below the "high" threshold and simply residual from awhile ago. To imply that he was walking around impaired is a stretch at this point.

Agreed. Marijuana usage is a red herring. What matters is who attacked who.

Are you implying that marijuana use has no residual impact?

Doesn't the defense give its closing arguments today? When can we expect a verdict. I'm ready to see the riots.
I honestly feel like the press is giving this story way more coverage because they want to incite a riot. It would definitely give them an even bigger story to cover if it happened.

Apparently, he wasn't too threatened because he had a cell phone, but did not call the police. Any reasonable person who had never been seen before walking around in the dark in a gated community would expect to bring about some suspicion. Common sense would tell them that they might be question by someone for being there.
And would you stop and answer a question of what you were doing in a neighborhood asked by a total stranger with no legal authority?
