I'm not surprised by the verdict and based on what I've heard it appears to be the legally right course.

But I don't feel any vindication or happiness or anything. I still feel for Martin's parents as well as Zim, whose life has been altered beyond his recognition. It was the media coverage through the race prism that sickened me. And I guess I find the suggestion of riots if acquitted to be racially toned too

I watched the trial myself and could not see where the state proved Murder 2 or Manslaughter. I'm not saying the doofus is innocent at all in God's eyes, but according to the justice system it was the right call..
