OK, since some folks seem to have a tough time with this, I'll make it clear - if you post something you 'heard' or 'read' and have no link to a reputable source, it will be deleted, and I'm going to suspend you for a week. Our policy has always been NO RUMORS - if you can't figure that out, then we'll have to get your attention in another manner.

A few things I want to point out (I don't feel like multi-quoting, so)...

1. We have players suspended EVERY year... We have multiple players suspended every year. The only reason this thing is getting a life of its own is because it involves Ha Ha and there are too many rumors flying... The process isn't failing, the ships isn't sinking, things aren't falling apart at the seams. End of story

2. I feel like some posters are actually thinking ESPN is somehow perpetuating the rumors by saying Ha Ha is the #1 Safety in the 2014 draft... Anyone who follows anything remotely draft related knows Kiper has had him in that spot since they started working on draft analysis right before the 2013 draft...

3. IF, and I mean a big IF, there were anything involving NCAA rules being broken I would think that Saban wouldn't have Ha Ha participating in practice. To me, that leads me to believe it is a Team rules violation. I'm not even going to begin to speculate, because it does no good. We'll all find out eventually...it always happens that way.

4. Someone said that tOSU fans would be upset if Braxton Miller were suspended for the rest of the year, and was kinda upset we weren't more upset... Well, if AJ were suspended, then it might be a big deal. Losing your QB is a little different than losing your best Safety. Plus if you have followed tOSU this year you would know when Miller went down with injury, their backup Guiton (sp?) stepped in and arguably played better than Miller had...some tOSU fans were even saying a QB competition had begun. I don't think they would be TOO worried. I think we have the depth at Safety to not have to worry about the loss right now. Even if this is BAD, then we have 4 games to get the defense settled before LSU...

Geez guys. You want rumors go to ITAT. I am not worried at all about the team or Ha Ha. This is a 0 worry factor for me. He will do what he is being asked to do, if he doesn't than we have other talented players. Even if this DID cause a loss we are probably in a better position as a program for it.

Dix is a great player and his experience and leadership will be missed. Hopefully, he will come back and continue to play lights out. Remember that Coack Bryant wasn't reluctant to sit players. He kicked Rich Wingo, an All-American off the team during practice for not practicing hard enough. We will be all right and Dix will be treated fairly.

There are dozens of ways to pee off coach and get yourself suspended that have nothing to do with the NCAA. Late for meeting, lack of effort or hustle, lip etc. Saban didn't say why and we have nothing to guess with, because there is nothing coming from the locker room. This is a good thing. I'm satisfied leaving it at that, really.

If a player making a bad decision is a 5.5 in your mind...so be it...
Maybe if we didnt have a 5 star recruit (landon Collins) waiting to fill in, I'd be more concerned, but, ....we do have him...

This is a good thing if ONE PLAYER (Haha) needed an attention grabber. Long term, this is good for the team....

It ensures discipline, and allows for Haha to make amends for whatever he did for his suspension.

No, it's not a good thing. I can almost guarantee you that at some point during his 2 1/2 years on campus he has been told specifically not to do whatever it is he did. I don't see how you can spin this into something good. It's not the end of the world but it is far from good...

Auburn has learned how to make Toilet Paper out of recycled Gene Chizik Recruiting Guides
Texas A&M has bought some Septic Tanks and is learning how to drive them -- they plan to bomb Mack Brown
and Seebell is opening a Beaver/Vanilla Factory -- and will be the Chief Extractor......

There's really nothing to be confused about - HaHa is suspended indefinitely for a violation of team rules. That's it.

The rest of this thread is rumors gleaned from other forums and comments in articles and people scared of their own shadow hand-wringing for no real reason.

Gotcha! Haven't been on here a lot this weekend. All I knew was the suspension. Thanks....

this suspension is all another part of the process, yall.
if...IF Dix is out, it's simply the next guy's turn to be a champion.
It's an honor for these guys to be playing for Alabama, and if they jeopardize that, they pay the consequences, period. I'm extremely happy that CNS runs this program in accordance with the rules of accountability.
The only problem for the Crimson Tide football program comes in if there have been problems with eligibility, which we know nothing about, nor have we heard or read anything about that being a problem from any reliable, verifiable source.

I'm confident that no matter what happens, CNS will be ready to minimize the impact on our performance to an acceptable degree within the boundaries of the rules both NCAA and our own rules.

Support the team and the coaches.
Speculation is merely that, and doesn't help to promote a winning atmosphere.
After all, that is what Alabama football is all about.
And, auburn sucks.
And, it's going to be fun watching Tennessee lose to us again and again and again.

This is one of the main reasons I love CNS. You can say he's all about winning but I think he's all about character. Championships be damned. I'm certain that CNS wouldn't have suspended Ha-Ha without good reason and I'm certain that CNS will give him every opportunity to get back into the fold. RTR!!!

Seems I've read in other threads and articles on Dix that he's a really good kid and the most unlikely one to deliberately do something to get in trouble with the coach and put his teammates in a bad spot. That's what makes this thing surprising to me. I hope the suspension is just an overabundance of caution on the part of the Alabama staff based on something they heard and not something Ha Ha actually did.

Looks like a few games for Clinton-Dix then and Harris is probably going to be FIRED as he should be. Looks like Clinton-Dix might be let off though since it was paid back, or would he have to pay $500 back in the eyes of the NZAA as well to be clear?
