Thought this funny...

Last time UT beat Bama:

• No such thing as an iphone.
• TJ Yeldon was a 6th grader.
• Hank Aaron was the MLB home run king.
• Bob Barker was still hosting the Price is Right.
• Gas $1.91 a gallon.

I had just moved to Vinings for Marietta.
I had a girlfriend and could not care less about any neighbors I might have.
My nephew (who is coming with me to this game) was 2.
His younger brother wasn't even born yet or even thought of at that point.
I had just started to gain weight and the very thought of actually riding a bike to anywhere seemed lucacris.

Personal notes for me the last time UT beat us:

• I was in my final semester as an engineering major at UA
• I had just married my wife
• I was also a new father
• I had come to accept mediocrity as a football fan (my 1st semester was Mike Dubose's last season; my final semester was Mike Shula's final season....I'm also a SF 49ers fan. We were stinking the place up)
• I was seriously considering leaving Alabama for good (Houston & Charlotte were my suitors; both wonderful cities by the way)
• My younger cousin was beginning to carry the torch for me. I always wanted to play at Bama, but it didn't work out. He, an Auburn fan, decided against going to Auburn and went to Stillman instead. He would later graduate as their school's all-time leading tackler.
• I moved from the one bedroom apartment on The Strip (Reed Street) I'd been living in since being a freshman in college to a more affordable, but piece of junk neighborhood in Alberta City (the tornado blew it away).
