Just looked up his bio, his hometown is Salt Lake City Utah. He graduated from Utah (I was close). His first college head coaching job was at Southern Utah then moved back to Utah as assistant coach then was their defensive coordinator when he got the Utah State job.

This sounds like he is simply going home, but Wisky going on their 3rd coach within a few years it makes you wonder...

I wonder what names will be connected to the Wisconsin job now?

According to a B1G Beat Reporter (sorry, can't remember his name) on Finebaum this afternoon, Anderson had at least 2 known issues with the Wisconsin job:
1. Academic admissions threw up too many roadblocks for him to sign all the players he wanted to sign
2. Wisconsin would not pay his assistants what they were worth

Or perhaps Barry Alverez isn't fun to work for.
You know! I was thinking the same thing. I actually thought that when Coach Biliema left Wisconsin. I was
wondering why he would want to leave Wisconsin. However, I guess he just wanted to go back to Pig
farming like in his youth.

I wonder if Barry Alverez is a tough AD to work for. Why doesn't he just hire himself as the replacement?
Looks like the players at Wisconsin want him to be the head coach in the bowl game against the Barn. I think
he did the same thing when Biliema left for ArKansas.

I wonder if Coach Alcatraz, I mean Alverez, was very, very upset after tOSU put a whipping on Wisconsin
behind the wood shed?

Wow, I didn't see that coming. Maybe he got a little too much heat for the OSU 59-0 drubbing! Maybe he just wanted to go back west.
Maybe they got beat that bad because instead of coaching the Badgers he was doing a Dennis Franchione back door negotiation with Oregon State instead of trying to beat Ohio State???

They got beat that bad because they were one dimensional. They could RUN against weak defenses. However, the run defense of tOSU was it's strength. It was like throwing Gordon to the wolves.

Wisconsin has lost two great coaches in 3 years because they wouldn't give their head coaches and assistants more money.

Alvarez is a lifer but he may need someone with business acumen to make the money decisions.

3. Anderson was lactose intolerant and cheese was required on the training table at least three meals per day.

Wisconsin's athletic department makes more money than Bama does; they're 2nd only to Texas. They spend $30,000,000 more than Bama though.
