This team took on a nasty disposition after the Ole Miss game. I think they heard the stuff about how nobody feared them anymore and the players really took it as an insult. I don't know what Elko and Saban have up their sleeves for this season but you just can't bottle up the mentality we took on this year. It's gonna be something different and hopefully it is something that resonates with the players.

The team knows what it took to get #16 in 2015, and hopefully they understand that is what it will take in 2016 to get #17--they are going to have to earn it all over again, no gimees...
 
The thing I like is that I feel like some of the poison in our program from a few years ago has been cured. I really think the 2013 season kinda strained the program internally. The stress of the 3peat seemed to divide the upperclassmen from the underclassmen; the coaches maybe drove the guys a bit too hard. Saban's definitely made a more public effort to reiterate how much he loves and believes in his guys the last few years. I don't think it is an accident...I think there was some bad juju going on. Nothing nefarious, it just happens...your approach stops working and maybe even starts working against you sometimes. I think Saban has adjusted in that regard and he's tried to make the offense and defense more about taking the fight to the opponent over the last two seasons. Stop making everything about you - the player - just doing your job and not messing up. Instead making it more about going out there and dominating and being aggressive.

Off the field Saban certainly seems like he is having more fun than usual.
 
Pretty incredible development if this hold!!!

While we are losing lots of pieces from the offense, they are manageable and it's possible we could get better in a couple of spots.

However, we know that defense wins championships and the road to #17 looks a lot brighter right now!
 
And the college football world trembled with fear. Tears began flowing and teeth gnashing in Athens, Auburn, Baton Rouge, College Station, Columbia, Fayetteville, Gainesville, Knoxville, Oxford & Starkville.

No question. Ole Miss game and media onslaught, coaches getting fired or harassed like Les, people coming after his coaches, it was a lot to put with a lot of clutter, and he put faith in the process and let it run its course with more openness and introspect than any other season. I think was a transitional season that capped off 2013-2015. I think we are entering a new phase, similar to coach Bryant wishbone phase. It won't last a decade, but it will be different than the first. Modernized big play explosive offense and a smaller but better equipped for all down defense with depth.
 
This is excellent news. The extra year will and some hard work will payoff for [emoji383][emoji383][emoji383][emoji383][emoji383] for these guys. Glad they see the other side of the [emoji898][emoji898][emoji898][emoji208][emoji208][emoji208]

I like like like it. The defense is going to scary. What about the offense, though? A legitimate dual threat like BB or CB running the zone read with Bo sounds good.

Exactly! Team leadership going into 2016 can not be questioned with guys who have confirmed they are coming back. We have some holes to fill but with the talent we have and the leadership we will be a contender once again in 2016.
 
Griffith isn't a junior but I guess there was a possibility that this was his last year. Good to have him back for one more year..

Hey, let the guy have some shine in the spotlight...he only laid out the best back shoulder fade off the foot in cfb history!
 
Griffith will be an absolute asset next season. If Scott is returning (can't remember what year he is), our special teams will be special.
