Look I know everything is asked during Super Bowl Week from stupid and absurd like "what is the best condiment on french fries" to favorite Johnny Cash song. So Im not surprised political affiliation questions have came up during this week, but many reporters have hounded Brady on his relationship with Trump and if he voted for him. Max Kellerman is by far the most vocal about it, but Im wondering if since this is an unprecedented time in American politics that he has a point about this.

No. Who a person voted for is a private matter unless they wish to tell. How did it first come up that Brady supported Trump? Let's play some football.

Trump made a comment about his relationship with Brady and belichick, and how Goodell should be fired in a Massachusetts rally. Then he said something about TB and BB "endorsing" him after the NH primary, Tom Brady's locker had a "make America great again" hat, and Trump said on Election Day that Tom indicated he would vote for him. Of course Brady has never publicly indicated any of this officially and basically said he is focused on football even though it's nobody's business anyway.

Brady, Belichick, and Gisele have all said their relationship with Trump is mainly due to a long friendship but doesn't necessarily mean they agree with his platform or that they voted for him. Brady basically said to the media that he doesn't want to reveal who he voted for because he and Gisele wish to keep their vote private. But people like Kellerman have hounded him ever since. I was more looking to see if people thought that since Brady being such a huge public figure changes whether he should be open to these allegations Trump made about his political affiliation.

Clarification: Brady or any other personage should not have to discuss their political views.

I'd go further. Not only should they not be forced to give their political opinions, I don't want to hear them.

If Tom Brady wants to talk about how he reads defenses, or Natalie Maines wants to tell me about song structure and writing, or Tom Cruise wants to tell me about how to act in a biography of a person who's still living, I'm all ears.

But I don't care who Tom Brady voted for or why. I don't care what Natalie Maines thinks about anything, and I sure don't care to hear Tom Cruise's opinions on anti-depressants.

Why professional athletes and entertainers think the world needs their opinions on any and everything wholly unrelated to their area of expertise, I'll never know.

It's not just Max Kellerman. Ever heard Michelle Beadle and the new guy on Sportsnation talk about this?

This is the wacko left exposing itself in a rather ugly manner.

And this is why I only watch live sports on ESPN, and none of the talking head shows. These people have the intellectual capacity of a slug, and the emotional maturity of a 3 year old.

No, I don't care what Brady's political views are and I especially don't care for witch hunts, which is what this kind of nonsense is anyway.

I also don't care, nor does it matter to me, if an athlete is a huge Obama fan.

So we go from athletes and entertainers being criticized for projecting their political beliefs to them being criticized for not doing so. This world is getting crazier by the minute.

People like Kellerman and a handful of others on ESPN are using their platform to "pout", "whine", and "throw a fit" about the results of the election. Just like these idiots protesting. It's a different form but the reason is the same. They can't handle someone disagreeing with them and when people do they want to inflict some sort of punishment for doing so. This is all this is. Bunch of crybabies with candy thin shells.

well it was only a matter of time before this garbage happened

A Morehouse College professor said New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady's support of President Donald Trump is more "un-American" than San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick taking a knee during the national anthem.
In a Jan. 25 article posted on Medium, adjunct journalism professor David Dennis Jr. brought up how Brady had a "Make America Great Again" hat in his locker in September 2015
"Brady's Trump endorsement, however, has been largely ignored when, in fact, supporting Donald Trump as President of The United States is far more threatening to America than taking a knee during the National Anthem," Dennis Jr. wrote.

Brady never officially endorsed Trump for president but has simply reiterated his friendship with the current president over the years.
"Donald is a good friend of mine. I have known him for a long time. I support all my friends. That is what I have to say. He's a good friend of mine. He's always been so supportive of me,” Brady said in October 2016.

I don't want to hear political opinions from media pundits, much less entertainers or sports figures.

If I place an order at a restaurant and the waiter starts pushing his politics or religion on me, I probably wouldn't go back, even if I agreed with what he said.

"Shut up and do your job," sums it up.
