Link: Tua discusses leaving early or staying.

If he moves on to the draft and NFL, will the University continue to pay for his rehab or does the cost shift back to him and his family?

Selfishly, I'd love to have him back of course. But I think there's maybe a 10% chance at best that happens.

Maybe - if he stays healthy. With his injury history, would you bet on a second contract?

Kyler Murray. He got a lifetime of money in his first contract. No matter what happens, he and his family are set. If he gets injured or washes out tomorrow - set for life.

1st pick - $23.6MM guaranteed. Another $12MM just for making the roster over the next 4 years.
15th pick - $8.8MM guaranteed. Another $6MM for staying on the roster.

Difference - $15MM in guaranteed money.

Thing about the NFL - if it isn't guaranteed, it doesn't exist. Every penny not guaranteed could be gone in an instant. That is what Tua is thinking about.

If he stays at Alabama, Alabama would have to buy him 2 huge insurance policies - they would have to get the LOV policy this time, and they would have to pay for pretty high potential losses.

Is Bama allowed to pay for the LOV policy?

I wouldn't be surprised if he comes back. He said something in the video that I think will be in the decision making process of every NFL team interested in him. And that's teams have no clue if he's going to be able to play after the injury is healed. In the video he said it will be three months before he can put weight on it. Then he can transition to a walker/crutches. He's looking at February before he can even put weight on it. I don't know, I'm not in the medical field so I don't know how fast he progresses once he can put weight on it. When is the combine? Isn't the draft late April early May? He has to make the decision in January. I think him coming back is more of a possibility than some think.

If Tua comes back, does that give incentive to the elite WR’s to come back for one more go?

Only if they don't get a sure 1st round grade. Saban will encourage them to leave if they get a solid 1st round grade.

If Tua does decide to go pro I just don’t want him to be one of those guys sitting in the room and every team just picking others in front of him. Then he gets picked in the second round. He is/was just to good for that to happen to. Seems like all some people talk about is how fragile he is. He was just fun to watch.

Maybe he comes back to prove he can stay healthy. You never know, that may be what some of the scouts tell him.

Jeudy is gone for sure. Literally every talking head raves about him. Ruggs and Smitty will depend on their draft grade most likely.

Ruggs is projected a first rounder, the kid from Colorado and CeeDee are the only two that keep projecting before him. The only one that could possibly change their stock by coming back is Smitty but with the year he's had ... I wouldn't be surprised if he grades higher this year than expected. I honestly doubt if any of the three comes back but will be pleasantly surprised if they do.
