I think the reason Julio, Cooper or even Ridley didn't have the "drop off" in the same sense as Jeudy is due to the other WR's on the team. Those other guys didn't have even an elite #2 much less 2 or three of them. I think you can give some of Ruggs, Smith's and Waddle's stats to Jeudy. Bama didn't have to force anything to him because there was always at least one of the 3-4 open. I am willing to bet scheme and gameplan had as much to do with Juedy's dip in stats and scouts will see that on the tape.

Jerry Rice ran a 4.71 - and was never caught in the open field... :)
My favorite receiver of all time!!

Unless a player is considered to be a franchise player, a player a team can be built around and a legit top 2 or 3 player, I don't think at this point in time anyone can know how the draft will play out. Unless their name is Joe Burrow or Chase Young I doubt anyone can with any certainty guess where they will be drafted and by whom.

Its all a guessing game at this point. There was an Ole Miss OL recently in the draft that everyone was picking top 5 or so that seems I remember fell to the late first or second round. Seems second round but my memory lol!! ;)

Like it or not Jeudy’s stats dropped off this year when he became a known commodity and recognized as the team’s biggest receiving threat. His drop off wasn’t just for a game or two either. Elite top end guys don’t let that happen.

I won’t argue that he’s special, he’s just not at the level of picking him as the best available player for a team that has another pressing need. That is my definition of a top 15 draft pick: the franchise is banking on that player to turn several losses into wins. Top 15 picks are worth several other picks in the draft which could drastically improve your tram across the board.
If I was a team I would love his attitude. Not once have you heard him complain about the lack of balls coming his way. He is just not that diva type. Seems like a real team player and wants his other guys to get theirs. The issue, not a real issue a blessing, is we have 3 other NFL wide receivers on our team. If you have a QB lock in on any of them they can have a big game. Jeudy has not been covered all year. If he is not the first wideout taken he will be the second.

I would have thought we would have several Top 15 kind of guys. Coach Saban is right when he sez this is some players last chance to impress.

I hope Juedy shows out and we get the win. Would love to see some of those slot fade RPOs that were a lot of the reason why Juedy averaged nearly 20 yards/catch in 2018.

I think teams have more flatly refused to match him on a safety in 2019 which may be why we don’t see that play much.

“We only had one guy that has that high of a grade and he’s not going to be play in the game because he’s injured,” Saban said during his radio show from Orlando. “And that injury may affect his grade, unfortunately, for him, right now.”
Saban was clearly referring to quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who suffered a season-ending hip injury against Mississippi State last month.

Clearly too much assuming going on...

i would be surprised if JJ is not the first WR taken. I'd be shocked if he's not within the 1st two taken. he had a few drops towards the end however his numbers took a hit due to how many great WR's we have. And he usually got the best corners on him more times than not. what will make or break some of these guys as far as 1st or 2nd round will be the combine. those grades they got will either drop or rise depending on things such as height, weight, speed, agility, wingspan, hand size, injury, etc, and believe it or not character. we had one guy recently who would have been a top 15 pick until character issues came up. Fell to the end of the 1st..Others had injuries no one knew about until the combine. Stock dropped and fell to the 2nd round

l wouldn't be surprised if Jeudy is more of a mid first rounder, no knock on him really, but just how the draft goes.
The last 2 drafts have had no top 15 receivers, in 2017, three went top 10, but 2 of those have been bust players, Cory Davis and Jon Ross and the other one has just been OK, Mike Williams, not worth the spot he was drafted at, but is a pretty good player.
You'd have to go back to 2015 and Amari Cooper, to find a highly drafted receiver that was worth his pick, 5th overall.
I think Jeudy would have to have a strong combine showing to be top 10, even harder to get in the top 5.
And he's no physical freak like Julio Jones.....Jeudy is kind of skinny and may not run an eye popping 40 yard dash.
NFL GMs over analyze and out think themselves sometimes...... i think Jeudy will be special, but may not be drafted top 10.

This points to more likely than not teams will need a high end WR because of the lack of elite talent in those drafts. Team needs are what play in it most. You also could get a desperate franchise pull an ATL like they did to get Julio. JJ was still running great routes and was getting open even though his production dropped off. I think that happened because of Tua’s injury. He was Tua’s #1 and I think Mac had more confidence finding Smitty. JMO.
