As someone who despises both major political parties, it seems to me that the smart play for the Democrats would be to deploy a massive force to Portland to separate right wing rowdies from left wing rowdies and quickly and decisively arrest any who go beyond peaceful protest to rioting. Democrats run the city. Democrats run the state. The governor controls the National Guard. Activate them, and get them, in massive numbers, into downtown Portland and stop this. They require neither support nor permission from Donald Trump. Take the issue away from him. It would display leadership, and protect the lives and property of the citizens of Oregon and Portland.

I think the fact that Moore is a Bernie supporter that is claiming that the Democrats are going to lose because a lack of enthusiasm from Biden is enough to see that Moore doesn’t know what he is talking about or/and is trying to stir up the pot to be relevant.

Bernie supporters have far and away been more enthusiastic about Bernie than Trump fans have been about Trump. Yet one is in the White House and one can’t get out of the primaries.

Moore is a great researcher. He digs far deeper than most before reaching a conclusion. That doesn't mean that he is right - elections are weird things, and there is a lot of time between now and election day. But I wouldn't just discount his conclusions.

I suppose it is true that there is nothing new in the world, particularly when it comes to politics. I do not expect that Trump has done much reading on propaganda but expect that Stephen Miller has.

Many of us here have the same question...Will enough people fall for Trump's big lie and give the country over to an authoritarian who would seek to badly erode the Constitution or will we reject him?

I to fear for the future of this country and do believe that another four years of Trump would hasten its demise.
