It’s being reported that Marrone is headed to Denver with HackettHas Marrone officially been let go?
Thanks....Can't really hire someone without firing someone first though...that's kind of boogerish...It’s being reported that Marrone is headed to Denver with Hackett
In Marrone’s case, I don’t think that was even an issue.Thanks....Can't really hire someone without firing someone first though...that's kind of boogerish...
His offensive lines have all over-performed. That is a great sign.Is he any good?
That's my only question.
Huge difference in talent he will be working with at Alabama. I mean, HUGE
You beat me to it. Looks like a talent problem for him, and not scheme.Huge difference in talent he will be working with at Alabama. I mean, HUGE
That was my thought as well. I chose to focus on the positive side. He's going to improve our yard per carries. You know who will benefit from his coaching the most?Huge difference in talent he will be working with at Alabama. I mean, HUGE
So what I’m getting from this stat is it’s kind of a boom or bust style? 1/4 of the snaps there’s contact behind the line, but the other 3 gain so much yardage before contact that he’s in the top of the SEC? I’ll take that.
Agree generally, but I thought Ekiyor at RG was one of our brighter spots on the OL later in the year and his play was also made significantly better and OC was moved forward a lot by Mclaughlin. That was my thought as well. Trey Sanders. A better OL will improve his running game.
Right side of OL: C, RG and RT will improve a lot.
Could also be that the stats are determined by the strength of the opponent. Just raw numbers don't tell us a lot. But the eye test tells us that his olines overperformed. So what I’m getting from this stat is it’s kind of a boom or bust style? 1/4 of the snaps there’s contact behind the line, but the other 3 gain so much yardage before contact that he’s in the top of the SEC? 1/4 is the worst percentage, the next is 1/5.
Behind the line contact doesn’t even necessarily mean a negative play, just that there was penetration of the line, typically not good. He’s still in the top two in spite of that which means when things are rolling they are rolling.Could also be that the stats are determined by the strength of the opponent. Javion Cohen, maybe our best returning lineman, is very excited about it. He committed to him at SC before ending up at bamaIs he any good?
That's my only question.
Except is there a single O-lineman who'd make the team at Alabama? So what I’m getting from this stat is it’s kind of a boom or bust style? 1/4 of the snaps there’s contact behind the line, but the other 3 gain so much yardage before contact that he’s in the top of the SEC? I’ll take that.
