Stafford is going to be in the Hall of Fame. He had 4800 yards and 41 TDs this year. Maybe he didn't have a great game, but he's a very good QB.
You mentioned 4800 yards and 41 TDs.

Cooper Kupp: 1,947 yards for the year with 16 TDs. <-- this guy is the reason why his number is inflated somewhat.

Take Kupp out and you have 2853 yards and 25 TDs.

Yes he will be a HOF one day, but doesn't mean he's a great QB. He's average. I'm not here to debate.. just my perspective.

Yeah, I missed that too. They are talking about it today on the radio.

And as predicted they are claiming uga won a Super Bowl.
Don’t you know? UGA is the penultimate power in sports…….. they have just been denied their place atop the mountain by other jealous teams…….. even the ones who stomped their guts and beat them

It’s funny he of all people brings that up. He would be the 1st person to say touchdowns and yards don’t matter in a debate between Rodgers and Brady. But he wants to use it for Stafford???

Stafford had a good year but Kupp was clearly what made his year on offense. Kupp pretty much single handily won the Rams the NFC.

Stafford is a HOF, but he probably isn’t a 1st or second ballot guy. I would say if he retires right now he is a 4th ballot guy

I agree I think with 81s take on Stafford for the most part. He's not a 1st ballot guy but he's probably going to end up in the HOF. Stafford definitely isn't "average" though. He's at least above that

But you can't just take out stats because he is playing with a good player.

You wouldn't take out Peyton Manning's yards/TDs to Reggie Wayne or Marvin Harrison, Joe Montana's yards/TDs to Jerry Rice or even Brady's to Moss. Could go on and on

The 3rd down where the Bengals got called for defensive holding. Two of the Ram's OL's false started. Should have been a dead ball foul. In other words, the defensive holding would have never happened.

I remember thinking false start. I watched replay today and it was pretty clear.

Anyway, the fix was in. The Shield needed a championship for LA. Much sexier than Cincinnati.

Refs make bad calls all the time.

There was no fix or that Bengals 75 yard TD would have never been a TD because of clear OPI

The defensive holding was--at best--a marginal call. Interestingly, it was made by the same official that blew the blatant OPI on the Bengals long TD pass. The defender had both hands riding the receiver's waist, though he didn't appear to grab. Makeup call? Who knows.

I didn't really see any kind of fix (not like, say, the Steelers-Seahawks Super Bowl). No one made the Bengals repeatedly call straight drop back passes when it was clear the OL had the consistency of wet tp. Seriously--no screens or other misdirection plays? Two straight passes on 3rd and 1 and 4th and 1?

It was a game between two teams with substantial flaws. And we ended up with a weird, but hardly suspicious finish.

Do you know how difficult it would be to keep a "fix" quiet? I thought the officials blew a couple of calls, but nothing in the "fix" category.

The point more is that we have a poster that loves to play the arbitrary stat game to say Brady isn’t the GOAT but will use the same dismissed stats to justify why someone else is a HOF. The Kupp argument is to show that a lot of the Rams success on offense is in large part due to Kupp getting open on extended plays.

Stafford is a HOF quarterback but he is going to have to wait awhile. It’s more of a filler addition than a head liner.

He is a very good , not great QB. He has all the physical tools for the position, but sometimes that gets him in trouble. For example. I easily won a prop bet on which QB would have the most interceptions. There were a couple of passes in the Super Bowl only a handful of QBs could have thrown. Then there were the interceptions.

I was in my truck at 5:30 this morning and Scott Slade of WSB led off the news half hour with ‘our top story, Dawgs win the Superbowl’. I almost jerked the wheel into a tree. It , of course , was the story of Stafford and Michel and other players. I expected that Bull from 92.9 or something, but not WSB.

Yeah, nobody else on the team, no matter what college they played for, had anything to do with it...............just the dawgs...............that is how delusional they are

Let me see if I can try a different way of delivering my point. What I was trying to say is that when he was in Detroit, He had similar number, I often wondered if he can march down the field in 2 minute drills to force a turnover or win the game. The answer to that is... Yes he can. He had 42 game winning drives which put him in top 10. Who's the others? Manning, Brady, Brees and Favore.

He will make the hall of fame, no question about it. I"m not questioning his abilities at all. I'm more likely to say hey he can get the job done, but he makes bonehead decisions often. I'm not a big fan of him, butI respect his work.
