good point.....I don't think BAMA is ready to get into a shootout with anyone just yet!
I think it will be a scoreless tie going into the game and then after that it will depend mostly on which team scores the most points.

This game will be a helluva lot tougher than most think. Hawaii is certainly good enough to pull off an upset.
The Warriors are by far the best OOC team we face, and are in all likelyhood better than Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Vanderbilt, at least offensively.
What they do well is exactly where our inexperience on defense may hurt us.
In fact, if Hawaii's defense didn't just stink on ice against the run and the past last season, and if the Warriors didn't have an atrocious record on the road on the mainland, I'd REALLY be worried about this game rather than being concerned that Hawaii's offense will keep it close enough that a mistake by our offense or a bad break could beat us, which is a real concern given our youth at key positions.
Hawaii's defense, or probable lack of one, is the difference in this one, though, as Bama simply pounds them into submission with a steady dose of Darby, Darby and more Darby, with a little Johns and a few others sprinkled in for good measure.
Add in 93,000 football-starved Crimson Tide fans in a spit and polished updated new stadium, and I think that the Warriors are gonna find out this Tide isn't easily surfed, although it won't be as big a wipeout as most think.

Seriously I think we start off slow like we usually do in the first game and then come out strong in the 2nd half. I know they have a QB in Brennan but im not really worried about him as some of you guys are. This will be the fastest and most tenacious D he may play against in his college career.
ok... when alabama played hawaii twice a couple years ago both years bama was a better football team .. the only reason both those games were close (and one was a loss) is b/c of probation and lack of athletes and talent for bama... and the fact that the games were in hawaii.. i dont think most of you understand the talent gap that has grown between these two teams since they last met... i cant believe that some of you are picking this game to be a "nutgrinder" close game... if it is.. i think that is an embarassment to the program and will take A LOT of the confidence out of this team... last year hawaii had close to the worst defense in the nation... and they lost 6 starters off their terrible D... the only possible way that this game is relatively close or lost is if bama starts out slow like some predict and basically cruise thru the 1st half... if they allow hawaii to score and get a 10-14 point lead (which i dont think will happen) then we could be in danger.......... i predict that bama comes out and physically manhandles hawaii on both lines ...we will have no trouble at all running the football and we will keep hawaii honest hitting KB and DJ downfield a few times ...
