No Bryce, no win against Tennessee

Can't fire him right now because all of the good replacements are working. But most of us questioned to decision to keep him after last season. His play calling last season was just as bad. He had other job offers. Saban pressured him to stay. That boggles the mind.

Why on earth O'Brien's gameplan last night not only did not cater to Milroe's strengths but actively opposed them I will never understand. Similar NFL mentality of "do what I want, or else" that got him canned in Houston. He needed to go months ago. Sadly, as stated in this thread, Bama probably can't fire him in the middle of the season.

He's taking years off my life at this point though.

Tom Herman's offense would work for Jalen, but not Bryce. Plus, I am not sure that he can run a pro set spread offense as he never has.

Give a full off-season and he could do it, but not jumping in mid-season

Just being practical. I really believe if Milroe plays, we at least have a 50% chance to win. Nothing wrong with admitting the truth. I'm only a sunshine pumper at game time

We're going to be alright. We just need a hint of a vertical passing game. It was honorable for coach to stay with Jalen last night but I bet Simpson gets lots of extra reps in practice this week.

I don't think Bryce is the key to beating the viles. He's a very important cog, but the key imo is a good game plan. The garbage I saw last night reeked of a man who didn't do his job for whatever reason.

Milroe is a gritty kid, but he is a recruiting bust as a qb in my opinion. He takes far too long to make a decision if his first read isn’t available and doesn’t appear to have the arm strength to sling it down the field past 20-30ish yards. The ball security issues almost cost us the game last night as well, but again I don’t fault the kid for doing his best. I think they should look at moving him to rb because he no doubt has talent with his legs. If Bryce can’t go against Tennessee, it’s time to move to the true freshman and TN native Simpson who has to be our qb of the future at least until additional recruits arrive…

I'm confident Bryce will play against Tennessee. Trying to read between the lines when Saban is speaking can sometimes be a challenge but when the field reporter asked him after the game about Tennessee Saban said right away that hopefully Bryce will be back. To me he had an optimistic tone. Also after the game Saban revealed that Bryce wanted to play near the end. If Bryce still had a lot of pain he would have known he can't throw and never would have requested to play. It would not surprise me though if Saban continues the "game time decision" message for another week just to keep Tennessee guessing.
