It’s not like Alabama does the whole revenge thing - it’s almost like the program is above that sort of thing - but yeah, after how last year’s loss to LSU went down the defense is going to take this game personally.

Daniels didn’t go crazy on the Tide last year, but he threw for 182 yards and two touchdowns, ran for 95 yards, and he owned overtime with a 25-yard run for a score followed up by a game-winning two point conversion.

This is his moment. If he goes off and LSU beats the Tide with everyone watching, he’ll all but book his ticket to New York as a Heisman finalist.

The Alabama defense will keep that from happening - sort of.

Daniels will crank up the stats, but the Tide will hold serve late. In the second half, the LSU defense won’t. The Alabama offense won’t quite get to 500 yards, but it’ll explode over the final ten minutes to pull away in a fun back-and-forth fight.

If we give up 34 points to LSU I don't know if I'll be alive at the end. LOL
LSU is literally the #1 scoring offense in the nation (#1 in total offense, too - they get yards). I'll be shocked if they don't score 30.

That said, it's one of the worst defenses in the nation, too, so Bama should look basically unstoppable. LSU's defense is - stunningly - ranked only slightly higher than MTSU's, which Bama gouged for 56.

I know they're viewed as an offensive juggernaut, but they haven't exactly played top notch defenses have they?

FSU held them below 30 (loss) and lowly Arkansas held them to 34 while scoring 31 on them in Baton Rouge.

After that they have 72 vs Grambling State...
41 vs MSU...
49 at Ole Miss (loss by the way)...
49 vs Missouri (they scored 39)...
48 vs auburn...
And 62 vs powerhouse Army.

While Ole Miss and Missouri were high scoring affairs, shootouts can very easily lead to that. Defenses wear out and it's game on. MSU and auburn, I'll give them that, but again look at the competition.

I can't buy the hype against the competition they've played. Yeah, I know, we've had our issues too, but I'm not convinced this is as close as some think it will be.

Corndogs always give us a game. This one should be no exception.
