That being said, his roster is an embarrassment for a once proud NFL franchise. Also the fact that last year his coach thought it best to have a lifetime DC to become his OC didn’t help either.

I said it once he was drafted… going to NE was a bad situation for him.

He is playing scared now. He no longer just rips his passes off - he looks like he is aiming them.

He got his shot and has been well paid. That is something that many players can only dream of. Hopefully he gets another shot, but if he doesn't, he would likely make a great coach some day.

I feel like there’s no respect by Mac towards Belichick and vice versa. Mac got frustrated trying to play for a non-offensive OC and sought help. Belichick got butthurt about it and holds a grudge. Best thing is gonna be Mac gets traded. He needs new pasture.

Sorry, but he remained the starter through a truly horrible season. Mac's performance at the position has been about as bad as I have ever seen in the NFL. I know that he has no talent around him. But he is still missing wide open receivers when not under pressure. And he just got benched. Seems like his coach was more supportive than most would have been.

He was sacked five times in the first half today alone. He’s shell shocked and forced to put the ball into windows that franchise quarterbacks would struggle with. He’s not done himself any favors with some of his decisions, but no quarterback would find success in his current situation.

Mac may have been a bust regardless, we will never know. But I’m confident Belichick is way past his prime, and the moves he’s made since the departure of Brady were ill conceived at best and utterly moronic at worst.

Maybe Mac will get another chance elsewhere and redeem himself. He bears his responsibility in this fiasco. But I’ve lost all respect for the genius I once thought Belichick was.

Brian Flores' malicious mishandling of Tua should disqualify him from the coaching profession. He should be digging ditches or selling insurance in some jerkwater burgh.

I don’t think he was. I was never impressed with his performance prior to Alabama.
