Biggest TV audience since 2018. The Tide is the only team that could pull an audience like that.

ROLL TIDE

Whats even better is every time a ratings record has been set Alabama was in the game.

Of the top 20 most watched college games this year, Alabama played in 6 of them, though only 1 was in the top 10. The next closest was Colorado with 4 games in the top 20 most watched, two of which were in the top 10. Ohio St. had 3 in the top 6 with none others, and Michigan had 3 in the top 10 with none others.

But the Bama Brand is definitely more expansive than our state boundaries.
Absolutely! After seeing the ratings for this years SEC Championship Game I dug into more of the ratings history. Ohio St. and Michigan are dependent on each other for high ratings but Bama has been in every other top rated game on TV regardless of opponent. It’s clear the Bama Brand is country wide and it doesn’t matter who we play. The audience is tuning in because Bama is in the game. Every other national brand is a distant 2nd to Alabama.

I think that 29 game winning streak had something to do with it. Viewers knew that Bama was very capable of ending it. While some fans across the country have grown weary of Bama's success over the years this time there may have been quite a few that were tired of Georgia after back-to-back titles and wanted Bama to knock them down a peg.

It was, imo, the only game really worth watching from both an impact and entertainment perspective. Oregon-Washington was entertaining but it didn’t really matter that much. Texas-OSU was a joke of a conference game. Yet another example of conference tie breakers leading to lesser teams representing a division over the division’s better team. FSU-Louisville was actually painful to watch. It was bad football. The only reason I watched it was in the hopes of seeing FSU lose. Michigan-Iowa was also a waste of a game and incredibly boring.

Alabama-UGA was really the only game with nationally significant implications and also good football. I know I’m biased, but I am pretty confident I am also correct.

And of the 7 million that watch the ACCCG, half were Bama fans wanting to see FSU lose.
Probably half of that half was Barner fans on their last leg of hope rooting for FSU and hoping the committee would do the politically correct thing and put them in.

Not only were they disappointed Sunday about that, but their basketball team got beat by App. St. that afternoon.

A crushing day for them!

Fact many hate bama no doubt they are tired of us winning, but also Fact many more world wide still love watching the best play. I dare you to go to Italy like Nick did and hear people greet you with go dawgs or hook em horns or go michigan LOL but Nick got Roll tide. Send their coaches to italy, no one would even know who they are. it is good being a bama fan year round and world wide we rule college football on every level.
