I do not think any established "A" list coach wants to follow CNS . That said , I'm thinking more along the line of a guy like Luke Fickell .
As long as he doesn't bring Goldilocks. I wonder if Sark is offered the job would he take it.Assuming we can't get Kirby or sark, I think I want Lane! And I think he'd come running home. If he can clean up his stupid fourth quarter decisions, find a solid defense coordinator, he can win. It could be all smoking mirrors but he has been all Bama since he left. I truly think he was humble and appreciative of his time under the goat.
Completely agree with you. There's no way in the world he would have just put this on the program without planning ahead. We're talking about a guy that was meticulous and detailed in everything he did. There's no way he's going to put the program he built into a powerhouse at a disadvantage. I have to believe he had a plan in place and there's people close to him who have been working behind the scenes with him on a replacement.Something tells me Saban already made a call or two... I could be totally off base with this, but you would think he would want to protect the kingdom that he built. My dark horse would be Kirby but I just can't see him leaving his alma mater. I suspect Dabo, Lane, Lanning, or Deboer. I would rank them
Deboer
Lane
Lanning
Dabo
Lane could be the top of this list if he didn't make so many bone-headed fourth down decisions... Sark would be my other dark horse...but I can't see him leaving Texas.
Anyone can change Wikipedia....it's nothingI am not sure what to think of that Wikipedia headline
What if he comes back with Golding?Assuming we can't get Kirby or sark, I think I want Lane! And I think he'd come running home. If he can clean up his stupid fourth quarter decisions, find a solid defense coordinator, he can win. It could be all smoking mirrors but he has been all Bama since he left.
