Who is Saban's replacement?

you have to remember that Klatt is an idiot.

Apparently not as big an idiot as our own GMac. One of my friends sent me a text and said he was listening to GMac on sportstalk radio (XM) and GMac named "Bill O'Brien" as a possible "good" successor for Saban. Now who's the idiot? LOL!

Pete Carroll is starting to intrigue me since Sark and Smart aren't coming. I don't want Kiffin.

He's in his 70's and Saban even admitted his age was becoming a concern on the recruiting trail. What makes you think it would be any different with Carroll? We would get eaten alive on the recruiting trail with a 70+ year old HC not named Nick Saban.

GMac has said some "questionable" things in his career, but that takes the cake

You could go ahead and sign me up for the liver transplant recipient list….

I dont see Dabo doing it the Bama way..............I see him as a "My way or the highway" kind of person, which is why I'd show him the road
That's why you do interviews though right? I can look up stuff in Wikipedia, and I can do my research, but there's no substitute for sitting someone down in front of you and asking them questions.

Just like DeBoer, he's a hot name right now but I'd have to sit him down and ask what his plan to recruit the southeast is. How would he improve his recruiting process and what specifically at Washington was impeding it and how that would change at Alabama.

I mean you have to probe these guys weaknesses right?

Edit: That's one reason I liked Lanning, you didn't have to ask him a lot of these questions. He knows Alabama, he knows the system, he knows the southeast, he can recruit and he can use the portal. He also doesn't have any major issues or concerns I'm aware of.

Gosh do we sound like a bunch of post Shula firing the sky is falling fans.
Funny enough, it is a similar situation. We are still shooting for the moon thinking anyone would jump at the job. Smartest thing Lanning did was stay put at Oregon and I'd bet Norvell and the rest of those guys are thinking the same thing. Our next coach is probably someone no one has mentioned yet. We are just 24 hours into this thing so who knows.
