My one concern with DeBoer is whether we would become all offense- no defense kind of team like Washington has been.

I dont know, but I'd probably guess that defense would be emphasized greatly and if he disagreed he wouldnt be considered

My guess is that the references to Dabo are falling on deaf ears. Many did not want him at his peak because of his Christian stance, but now that it has been shown how dependent he is on his coordinators, as well as his recruiting stance, even others like myself, do not want him because of performance reasons. IMO, you are wasting your breath, but you bring him up in almost every post I've seen in this thread.

I don’t think anyone has as much of an issue with his ultra Christian stance as much as they do with his antics like talking down his opponent and complaining about fans and other crap. Aside from that I just find it odd that anyone wants a guy that is so adverse towards using the transfer portal that he lost 4 ACC games a year.

Does anyone really know the Deboer doesn't know anything about the Southeast, blah, blah, blah.... etc? CNS was an outsider to the area before he came to LSU and look what happened to him. There are a lot assumptions being made about someone that's just coaching football. He's not running for public office. Bottom line: If you can win football games, I'm in! RTR!

Adding to that assumption, Alabama recruits itself, it has for the last 15 years after the 2009 NC. Some on this site act as if he has to sell Alabama all over again.

To be THAT GUY, our roster of the greatest recruits ever assembled lost to a team that Washington beat, and lost to a team with only two five stars on its roster.

Is it even possiable to be an elite receuiter at Kstate. And i like Kstate. Dad was stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas feom 85 to 89. Went to a few Kstate games during that time. I know that timws have changed since then but still it's Manhattan Kansas.

Saban going to LSU is not an apples to apples comparison. If a LSU coach that’s a good coach gets the bulk of the best players in Louisiana, he can compete

2021 Total Offense : Fresno State 15th 2021 Total Defense :Fresno State 31
2022 Total Offense :Washington 2nd 2022 Total Defense : Washington 74
2023 Total Offense : Washington 12th 2023 Total Defense : Washington 92

Only 1 respectable season on the defensive side of the ball for DeBoer.

He did just sit there at Washington when it came to recruiting, that's my point.

He brings in 16 four starts in 3 years at a place that has shown they can bring in 16 in one year. That's sitting around on recruiting.

He was hired in December of 2021 he has had 2 recruiting classes The 2022 class is already committed by the time he gets the job so you can’t say he didn’t get anyone this year. It takes time to build a culture especially one that has been bad a few years unless you are a Deion or big name guy with some name and experience you are not being a major recruiting person for at least 3-5 years. So what he did at Washington doesn’t mean much to me in recruiting because he just wasn’t there long enough to see how he is as a recruiter. If he comes here and can keep some of the good recruiting people we have here that already have connections in the south he should be ok. At Washington he had an empty cupboard and in todays game you don’t have time to bring in freshman and try to win sometimes so he brought in some experienced guys through the portal.
