Who is Saban's replacement?

  • HELLO AGAIN, Guest! We are back, live! We're still doing some troubleshooting and maintenance to fix a few remaining issues but everything looks stable now (except front page which we're working on over next day or two)

Thanks for your patience and support! MUCH appreciated! --Brett (BamaNation)

if you see any problems - please post them in the Troubleshooting board!

Alabama wasn't Alabama untill Saban got here. I remember when we would collectively wet our pants when a high 3* borderline 4* offensive linemen would commit.
Alabama was Bama when Bryant was here.....................true, the brand suffered due to the probations and collective mismanagement of the years after Stallings, but that Bama isnt what we have now. And there is not reason we should ever go back unless we get goofy again

The football choice is Lane Kiffin the question is can you get pass the off the field things he has done in the past. I don’t know it depends if you think he has changed and grown up. He does seem to be in a different spot in his life with his actions off the field and relationship with his girlfriend of a few years so you have to decide if he has changed enough.
I dont know that he hasnt been interviewed, but he still from time to time act out...............Shame because he is a good coach

I just don’t understand the sudden hatred of Dabo. He’s the only coach on the list that has won a NC. He knows what he would be getting into—and that is big. There have been coaches come to Bama in the past that just didn’t get the culture. Say what you want about Franchione, but he was a decent coach at Alabama. But I remember one reporter stating that he just didn’t get the 365 day a year football culture.

Wow. You praise Dabo and Francione in the same post? You don’t know your target audience apparently. ;)

I don't hate Dabo and my dislike of him is not sudden. I've said for years I hoped he would not be the coach at Alabama. It also has nothing to do with him being a Christian as I am Christian also. But if he were to become the coach I would still cheer for the Tide.

I just got through reading that Coach was on the fence about retiring only minutes before he met with the team yesterday. That means any plan that was in place was theoretical and that no replacement was in place. Seems like we may hire Rees and let Saban coach from a distance. Other than that, seems like a cluster.

According to a user on reddit all staff instructed to be in suit and tie tomorrow morning at practice facility. That's his source whoever that may be.

i think nobody is interested in the job.. they are just using it to get better paycheck at current job. Cant blame them the pressure at Alabama is unlike any other.
What fans think is a desirable job is not what coaches think

I think this is where we are or quickly getting to with the "search". If Tommy Rees is announced HC then that's our proof.
