Will the Barn unroll Toomer's Corner?
The pacific NW is a difficult place to recruit period and has been for years. He will have so much more to work with at Bama. The main thing is the need to establish a strong relationship with the HS coaches in the state and Southeast in general. If he’s a grinder he will be just fine. I cannot imagine him having that arrogant standoffish mentality that Harsin had. Doesn’t seem to be him at all. We about to find out!!!That's a good and slightly concerning thing.
Grubb is obviously part of his success at Washington, so you want both of them because it helps guarantee his offense is what he wants it to be.
The bad is how poorly Washington recruited and in fact regressed under those two. So since neither are especially good recruiters, who is going to be recruiting the offensive talent?
He's a Heisman candidate at Bama, but I couldn't care less about that. I want championships.Be careful. He is going to be tough to beat without a great defense. On the one hand, Alabama's offense would improve. But at Notre Dame or Auburn, with their offensive coordinators, he would be a Heisman candidate.
Need to figure out the OL coach situationTime will tell but I for one am tired of 5 star receivers hitting the portal because of not getting any targets...or even being seen wide open in the middle of the field.
Yep - recruiting at Alabama is different. That said, Alabama will have to be competitive on the NIL front without Saban as the X factor. How good of a recruiter was Nick Saban prior to LSU? Honest question. I know he was good... Michigan State had a lot of talent. But was it on the radar that he had the potential to be the greatest as he turned into?
His UW team one the Joe Moore award so there’s another plus!Need to figure out the OL coach situation
Bored, listening to Seattle sports 93.3 in the background . They are talking more UW than the coaching vacancy with the Seahawks. Kind of sad, one of the greatest coaches of our time (Pete Carroll) retires and then gets upstaged by Alabama and Nick Saban on the national scene, now the Seahawks get upstaged again by Alabama in their home city.Dang boy, you sure have your ear in the dirt LOL.
It's actually kind of humorous.Bored, listening to Seattle sports 93.3 in the background . They are talking more UW than the coaching vacancy with the Seahawks. Kind of sad, one of the greatest coaches of our time (Pete Carroll) retires and then gets upstaged by Alabama and Nick Saban on the national scene, now the Seahawks get upstaged again by Alabama in their home city.
That is my point - if he goes to the wrong team, you have to beat him. Still, I agree with the sentiment. IMO, Alabama would be better off without him confusing the QB situationHe's a Heisman candidate at Bama, but I couldn't care less about that. I want championships.
I don't want to make too much out of it, but I feel like that is exactly what we've been doing the past 3 years.Maybe all that work coaching up 3/4 stars is just what Bama needs. Rolling out a team of 5-stars can hide lots of coaching deficiencies. Now come coach up some real studs.
All we would have to do is blitz every play. That is my point - if he goes to the wrong team, you have to beat him. Still, I agree with the sentiment. IMO, Alabama would be better off without him confusing the QB situation
Time to get the boosters and the rich folks to open them walletsYep - recruiting at Alabama is different. That said, Alabama will have to be competitive on the NIL front without Saban as the X factor.
Here’s why it’s difficult: Morgan is a former Michigan football player and held a similar job with the Wolverines for a year before taking a position under Kalen DeBoer at Washington in December 2021.
As much he’s done to rebuild the Huskies’ roster, his fingerprints are also all over Michigan’s defense.
Really?!?I'm hearing lots of chatter that TRob has been promoted to D-Cord. This would be HUGE.
