Omnibus Thread on SEC Tournament...

I will say this about UT. Despite what happens tonight against Auburn or Sat. in T-town, I think they are the most complete team in the SEC and probably have the best chance to make a serious run at the NC out of all SEC teams.

Unfortunately, I gotta pull for Tennessee tonight. I think we win Saturday if Tennessee wins tonight. I will not be as confident if Tennessee falls tonight. The odds of them losing 2 in a row are slim imo, just like the odds of us losing 2 in a row.

Knecht should be the number 1 pick this year. The draft is pretty weak with lot of guys with questions especially from Europe. He reminds me lot of Tyler Herro but more physical then him,

DK reminds me of Rex Chapman, although he's bigger by a couple of inches.

Chapman was an amazing shooter and jumper and that's what makes DK so special. You can't lay off of him from way beyond the line with his range, but if you do he drives past you to the basket and can finish with force or get fouled. Plus, he can rub off screens and rise for a midrange jumper with his high release.

He literally took over that game last night dare I say the way Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant used to do.

He's only 6'6". I say "only" because he flies into the lane like he's 6'10". He reminds me of George Gervin, "Iceman," who played at a similar height at around 6'7".

Credit to Auburn, though, for giving UT a much better game on their home floor than us.

If DK doesn't go off Auburn probably wins this game by 10 points on the road.
I can’t give Auburn credit for anything. Lol.

I was pulling for them because it helps us. But that’s like pulling for diarrhea over vomiting.

Old school but Larry Bird comes to mind.
Two different kinds of players IMO. Remember Bird was also 6'9" or so too. Played as a swing man to use old school terminology. Was probably considered a 3 or 4. But he could play every position too with his height.

And Bird was just smarter and worked harder and was about as blue collar as you can get in the NBA, even during his era. Of course he could shoot it but he did everything else well too, but it was never about pure athleticism.

Knecht is really athletic and is more of a guard/shooter/take it to the rim guy. Not that 6'6" is small but he plays much bigger than that. His game is above the rim. Sure, they have some similar qualities (as do all good B-ball players) but DK is much more prototypical in terms of the NBA.

Again JMO.
