It's hard to get excited for a 2026 commit esp. in today's landscape, but if he sticks, this is by no means a small feat for DeBoer and staff! Barney is 5-star material and will likely earn it by next year. Taking an elite player from Georgia's backyard is no easy task. GOAT had success in the Peach State, and I see no reason for CKD not to either. I think we can safely put to rest the ongoing joke that DeBoer and staff will struggle recruiting the South.

I just saw where it appears the early signing period will be moved up to June starting with the 2026 class so at least it will get here several months earlier than it is now.

I mentioned when Jefferson committed it was a big steal from Tennessee and he was better than his rankings. He certainly proved that! Outstanding baseball player as well. Just an absolute stud. He and Rico will soon be on campus, I don't think the casual Bama fans realize these two gems.

I think our current group of wide receivers is lacking compared to most of the Saban era so I hope you are correct and a couple of these freshman pop.
