The Good, The Bad and The Ugly…. Bull style

Good - we won, gave Coach Saban much deserved recognition, the defense, RB position, and no major injuries. Hopefully lessons learned by coaches and players for our future benefit
Bad - lack of quality QB play from a senior for 3+ quarters of the game, game should have never been this close going into the 4th quarter
Ugly - the penalties and Auburn as always

Some ( a couple) of the holding calls were tacky-tacky calls...most were legit. USF was beating us off the ball...Oh well...at least we learned a lesson and didn't lose. I sure hope the coaches come up with a game plan to beat the all out blitz.

Agreed on the holding calls. Aside from the penalty itself, one of the huge downsides to getting multiple legitimate holding calls is that the refs start looking for / expecting them to happen, and you get tagged with more of the ticky-tack stuff.

IOW, it snowballs, more holds get called than would otherwise be the case, and it bleeds over into the refs' mindset in subsequent games.

I don't know which conference supplies the refs for next week in Madison, but I promise they will have seen the film on our OL.

The Ugliest - Russian Born, Hillbilly Inbred Coach of USF really brother and sister marriages produce terrible offspring

Given the substandard QB play and horrendous OL play, I'm not sure we know whether (1) the game plan was lacking, or (2) a decent plan simply wasn't executed. If neither the QB nor the OL are executing, no game plan drawn up by any coach in history would look competent.

As Bamabuzzard alluded, USF gave the college football world the formula for disrupting our offense -- blitz, blitz, blitz, and blitz some more. Did I mention that they'll blitz?

Dare the OL to block without holding and dare the QB to take advantage of it with quick hitters. Until we start doing that, every team we face will bring heat every play.

It’s possible that rule has been changed like so many others. I have always said officials shouldn’t be tied to a specific conference.

I would assume it will be a B1G crew this week and next year it will be a SEC crew. I mean it makes sense because every G5 and cupcake game is a SEC crew. I think the only exception is when it’s neutral site one offs.

I come in peace, but USF should have won the game if we didin't have crappy play-calling in the 4th. I think most of you agree the score does not reflect the actual effort and dominance USF had over Bama for about 95% of the game. Luck defintely went your way but I'm still very impressed with our team and future. We're a young team and it's great to be a Bull and I look forward in dominating the American. Perhaps we'll seen you again in the CFP this year and we'll contend for a Natty!

3 turnovers, two or three touchdowns called back for VERY ticky tack penalties. You all dominated absolutely nothing.

Should you be proud of your effort? Absolutely! Did you "dominate" 95% of the game? Not only no, but HELL NO!

Not sure which game you watched but I saw no dominance of USF over Bama. I agree with how the writer of the article you attached put it - - they went toe to toe for 55 minutes with a team that has national championship aspirations. Dominated - - no. Held there own and played very well - - yes.

Again, I come in peace and I only wanted to make a couple points from my perspective. Our D-line, who are pretty much all 3-star/4-star recruits, beat your 5-star O-Line all night long. We kept blizing in the trenches and Bama couldn't react, so yeah we dominated the game where it was most impactful. We wanted it more than you but again that's they way the cookie crumbles when you play away in the SEC with SEC refs. I didn't come here to get into a ****ing match, just stating some facts. I look forward in our game in a couple yrs and I expect we'll have an even stronger and better team. Our recruiting is ranked 47 currently higher than many ACC and BIG12 teams. BULLIEVE!

There is no way you watched the same game and saw anything resembling “dominance” from USF. Absolute clown take.

Bama was definitely penalized a lot, I would not argue that, but there were a lot of holds not called.
