Yeah when we beat them in 2015 it was all " refs cheated it was a illegal onside kick" ect but when they won on a pick play at the last second they made sure to go out of their way to find me. That and 2018 made them insufferable. There are alot of Clemson fans around here( i live 20 minutes from the campus ) that have a unnatural hatred for Alabama and i cannot for the life of me figure out why.
You don’t know why “Auburn with a lake” would hate Alabama?

Maybe. I don’t think they would have lost to us or LSU if they were more competent on offense. I’m kinda surprised that they performed a huge beatdown on aTm, but not shocked that they beat them.

Right now I think the SEC is one great team and 2-3 very good teams. I think it’s more likely you have more B1G teams in the playoffs than SEC because too many SEC teams are getting owned by weaker competition in inexplicable ways. I mean do we really think Tennessee and Vanderbilt are really that good?
assuming this is who you are referring to, i don't think this year's georgia team would count as great.

Vandy is a whole lot better than they were in the past, but that is still a game BAMA should not lose. I hope that loss doesn't hang around to bite us in the butt.

There's more talent on more teams now than ever before. Call it parity or whatever. But it's there. There's a lot more talent coming out of high school than ever before. Add in NIL and the Portal, and we're seeing more and more good teams capable of beating "blue bloods" and high ranked teams. Just look at Vandy. Huge difference between last year and this year. And after losing by 2 to Bama, S. Carolina came back and beat Oklahoma and Texas A&M. With four games left in the regular season, there are no more undefeated SEC teams. They have been beating up on each other. And we see it elsewhere with upsets. And there's also a lot of good top notch coaches. And that matters.
I think going forward we will see very few undefeated teams in the SEC and B10. If a team can navigate those conferences undefeated they’ll be battle tested for the playoffs.

Georgia is still the best team in the SEC. If you are taking bets for who has the best chance to win it all from the SEC it’s hard not to put money on Georgia. Yes they are flawed and play down to competition, but they are clearly the deepest and most talented team in the SEC.

Yeah I know we beat them but since that night they have clearly been better than us.

Right now, any Bama fan thinking about playoffs or anything extra is still not seeing how Jekyll and Hyde we are. I think it’s just as plausible of us losing 3 of the next 4 as to winning out. We are really just hoping this bye week was the break we needed to win out. Because that is the only way we avoid a Florida or Tennessee bowl game at this point.

If i was a georgia fan id be alarmed at how many picks Carson beck has thrown, 11 in the last 5 games.

I think it is way too early to determine that. Next week will be a clearer picture then the following. It really depends on who is peaking at the right time. Texas is in the conversation and we are not out of it yet. If we can limp into the playoffs we will be by far the most dangerous team.

We see the nature of what is going on with our team. But we still have a top 5 roster and probably top 2 tied with UGA. Have not been playing like it but way too soon to write us off yet. We will know when the clock strikes double zero in Death Valley Saturday night.

Just a note on PSU.

If they win out and go 11-1, it is very likely that out of those 11 wins, there will be exactly 0 wins against top 25 opponents.
There will be several teams who make the playoff that would have four or five losses with our schedule. I think the SEC will be lucky to get three teams in the playoff. I'm looking forward to seeing how it all unfolds. Will I think it is cool and look forward to some good games, or will I think it is stupid that several teams are in because their schedules are so weak? We'll find out.

Tier 1: Oregon and Georgia

Tier 2: Texas and Ohio St

Tier 3: Texas A&M, Alabama, South Carolina, LSU, and Miami

Tier 4: Indiana, PSU, Tennessee, Mizzou, Notre Dame, and Ole Miss

I think there is a sizable gap in depth of talent from Tier 2 and Tier 3, and that is what worries me more than any individual matchups.

FTR anyone can beat anyone in the playoffs, but there is a significant edge in overall talent that Oregon, Georgia, Texas, and Ohio St has against every potential opponent they play every week. It’s what Alabama used to have in which an off game would likely still be a 7-10 point win against inferior opponents. My point is that Alabama will likely have to play its best games in 3 back to back games to win a national championship in a year that they have failed to have 2 good games back to back.

Right now our goals should be to just win out and see where it goes. Realistically we don’t have great odds because we have two tough road games and the Iron Bowl. Yeah I know everyone is dismissing Oklahoma but that is still a tough place to play and they have a competent defense. So before we think about playoffs let’s just get through these next four.
