Bama Game Thread: Official Game Thread - Postgame Thread...

  • HELLO AGAIN, Guest! We are back, live! We're still doing some troubleshooting and maintenance to fix a few remaining issues but everything looks stable now (except front page which we're working on over next day or two)

Thanks for your patience and support! MUCH appreciated! --Brett (BamaNation)

if you see any problems - please post them in the Troubleshooting board!

I think it's silly to be calling for CKD's resignation one season in. Anyone who thought we would see no downtick in performance was deluded and probably spoiled. There are definite problems, clearly, but. let's give the man some time. There's no excuse for the poor performance we've seen, but it's completely irrational to think there is anyone else that we would be able to plug in who would be able to immediately right the ship, even if their name rhymed with Tick Playpen. Remember that the specters of these same problems were going on last year too.
I expected to lose about 3 games. The problem is which 3 games we lost, and how completely unprepared and incompetent we looked in losing them. We broke streaks and stats for things that haven’t been a problem in this program since before cell phones became ubiquitous. Since before the great TF server meltdown.

Tua outplayed hurts from day 1. All summer all I heard from practice was that Tua would be the starter by November because he was way better than Jalen. Never happened until it absolutely had to. The best qb isn't always on the field at Bama and I've never understood it. Even going back to the zow/watts days.
Saban shouldn't have been so loyal to Hurts.............shame of it all is I would take Hurts over Milroe right this moment

You have said over and over that Milroe wasnt a QB.................you are a prophet

Honestly, it doesn't take a prophet to see. I think Milroe is a great kid and wants to do well but he just does not have the requisite skills to be a successful QB at this level:
  • Terrible mechanics (even on the throws he does make)
  • Can't read a defense
  • Unable to see the field (open/covered receivers)
  • Zero anticipation
  • Subpar accuracy
  • Poor decision making (both pass and run)
  • Lack of leadership skills when the chips are down
And on and on. I really hope he is successful in life, but I hope it is elsewhere before next season...

You're absolutely right. The performance has been going down for awhile.

Well, this season is done. No playoffs unless some time of miracle like the earth reversing it's rotation happens.
We're now preparing for next year. Ty Simpson should start next week against the Barn. He's the QB of the future. Jalen's had his shot and didn't get it done. It's time to move on from LANK and look to the future.

Yeah I know, don’t get it at all
This type of thinking is why he isn’t the man for the job. Hey Just so,you know I predicted a 8-4 or 10-2 season. Prior to the season I thought sure losses were UGA and UT… never saw Vandy nor did I think after the season unfolding that Okie would be a loss.

Now we are on the cusp of losing to Aubie if Milroe plays and nothing makes me think CKD is going to make the change. So we will wind up 8-5 after bowl loss. This is where Byrne should sit KD down and explain the facts of life to him and that is JM is not the answer and let him know every loss from here on out with JM under center is a nail in his coffin. Either way this season is a bust and probably next year too.

I can't argue with that. It's true. All I am saying is that one season isn't enough to judge the final product.

No, but he caught alot of heat for saying Milroe wasnt the answer and people finally had to admit it

Remember when they had to disable add on functions to avoid problems during game threads, good times .
