President Biden announced Sunday he signed a pardon for his son, Hunter, arguing the charges against his son were brought for political reasons.

“No reasonable person who looks at the facts of Hunter’s cases can reach any other conclusion than Hunter was singled out only because he is my son – and that is wrong,” Biden said in a statement.

“There has been an effort to break Hunter – who has been five and a half years sober, even in the face of unrelenting attacks and selective prosecution,” he added. “In trying to break Hunter, they’ve tried to break me – and there’s no reason to believe it will stop here. Enough is enough.”

I've never defended the despicable acts of the repubs or trump - those acts are why I left the party.

This just reinforces the fact that the dems are no different - they'll just lie and use whatever power they have to benefit themselves. Got it.

I guess one can celebrate the fact that both parties are completely corrupt and lie to our faces, and if 'team' is one's thing, this is great.

Unlike some, I've not seen it as binary for a long time. While I lean conservative, I see both parties as totally corrupt.

I'm just glad the dems are no longer hiding behind the 'repubs are bad, we're better' bit.

Agreed that the corrupt lawfare stuff needs to stop. Hopefully we'll get to a point where much of the bureaucracy is removed and transparency is more common.

"We" just elected a felon/molester/insurrectionist. This is mere child's play in comparison. I'm not a fan of the action, but clearly Hunter was just a tool for the right to hurt/distract Biden. Same as it ever was though. If we went after the rest of Congress for their crimes in an even handed, justice is blind way, we wouldn't even have quorum in January.

This, all day long. I have been openly contemptuous toward the "uniparty" for decades now and with every passing day, I hate them more and more. As George Carlin himself said, “The word bipartisan usually means some larger-than-usual deception is being carried out.” Bipartisanship is certainly the reason we are $36 trillion in debt.

It's easy to criticize the far left wokesters and the MAGA people for their bizarre and often obscene actions, but there exists no obscenity worse than when establishment Dems and Reps actually work together to continue fleecing the taxpayers in order to maintain perpetual war.
