I gotta admit Houston is a better team than I thought.

They are tenacious on Defense.

I think Florida is still better but man this is setting up to be a final possession type of game.

They don’t have rim protectors so they play up tight on you a lot and guard you physical. If the refs let that type of play go they are really tough to beat. Even on the cuts and off the ball they are very handsy. so it makes you start your offense two steps farther away from basket then you use too.

When the ball goes inside, they are smothering. They are also making Florida extend and run their offense out beyond the three point line. So when that entry pass comes in, it gives their bigs more time to react.

Plus the officiating is allowing a physical game which favors Houston.

I think the second half (& game) will be decided by which team has the best coaching staff.

At this point - it's all about strategy.

We saw Florida switch from Clayton to Richards on the 3 point shooting and that yielded good results.

We'll need a lot more adjustments - so we'll see.

Houston is very good and came in with a better plan than us.

Yep when we played them the officiating was tight and they committed 31 fouls and we took 41 fouls shots.

I think UF should slow slightly and work to get the ball into the paint more. Let the inside game open up the outside game a little. UF's desire to go so fast is playing into the Coug's aggression IMO.

Not gonna lie I’m enjoying watching Houston do to Florida what they did to us. If the refs are gonna let you play that style of d there’s just no way to shoot your way out of it
