Do we think Ty wins the Heisman?

  • HELLO AGAIN, Guest! We are back, live! We're still doing some troubleshooting and maintenance to fix a few remaining issues but everything looks stable now (except front page which we're working on over next day or two)

Thanks for your patience and support! MUCH appreciated! --Brett (BamaNation)

if you see any problems - please post them in the Troubleshooting board!

It depends on if we are 10-2 or Better and that will be decided by our defense as much as anything.

Right now the two Best looking QBs in CFB are Ty and the Moore kid at Oregon.

Pavia will hang around until Vandy loses a few games.

Mendoza at Indiana has crazy stats too and Sayin will be a contender at tOSU with them being #1.

Way too many variables at play right now to make an educated guess.
Not picking on you Tusks, but this one didn't age well.

Moore threw more INTs against Indiana than Ty has thrown all year (3 to 1, to date).

I almost mentioned Mendoza’s name but I wasn’t sure if Indiana was for real at that time.

Plus I always feel like I have to go to further lengths in being objective with Ty.

I’ve been singing his praises for years and getting dunked on for it almost the whole time.

I made a post yesterday or the day before saying if we win out I’d be shocked for Ty not to win the Heisman though.

Nobody is operating at such a high level of play at the QB position as Ty Simpson.

I've been happier than I ever expected with Ty. He's been amazingly great!

I do think we'll have to win the SEC or at least make the game and Ty play out of his mind in a loss for him to win. Not like he's leading Mississippi State.

Simpson, Mendoza, and Beck right now. Simpson has the competition coming up. The other two, not so much. I don’t see any body else challenging those three.

I'm surprised for Beck to be in the mix much less being the Odds leader.

He's playing better this year but his stats aren’t eye popping and he’s actually not statistically better than Ty or Mendoza.

But He'll stay in the mix unless Miami loses some games.

Though IF for some reason Ty wasn't in the mix at the end I think it would be hilarious for Beck to win at Miami after Kirby showed him the door.

Kirby has bungled so many QB situations at this point and got extremely lucky for Bennett to work out.

I didn’t think of that. If Ty dropped out of the Heisman race for whatever reason, Beck winning would be hilarious!

I admit I was a Ty doubter coming into the season. I thought he would be good but not nearly as good as he has been. But I also thought there was the possibility that he would fall flat on his face. Just not enough playing time to make a good evaluation.

As for the Heisman, I think he'll be in the running, as he should be. But I'm afraid the SEC gauntlet he faces this year will keep his stats from matching the other candidates who play a weaker schedule. And it's all about "eye candy" rather than true leadership and competitiveness and talent.

At this point, I wouldn't trade Ty for any other QB in the nation.

He seems to have his head in the right place. I haven't seen any Heisman poses or anything. He appears to be a "team first" guy.
