After worst postseason loss in Alabama history, the Tide are on the wrong side of a 'fine line' under Kalen DeBoer

I get what you're saying & I agree to an extent, we Bama Fans hate losing, buttttt, we also know it's simply part of the no matter who you are..

It's how you lose that bothers us, we're literally getting out coached & curb stomped Vandy style(when they were bad) when we lose, with as much talent & university support Coach Deboer has that should neverrrr happen at Bama..

All I know it's obvious we're a more finesse team under this coaching staff & less on the physicality part of the game that's made us the most dominant football program in history..

If Coach Deboer doesn't change that type mentality & culture now his time at Bama won't last after next year..

Im sorry that's just my opinion brother..
I'm with you, brother. A soft, weak, unresilient Alabama football team has no charms for me.

Does it matter that most coaches have already made their changes/leaps? Are there quality candidates still out there we could replace some of our staff with?

Glenn Schumann at Georgia just had his season end. He's a Bama alum. I do not think we have a defensive problem though (other than defensive players thinking that "tackling" means throwing a shoulder into the ball carrier and not wrapping up).

As for OC and o-line coach, we need a Jeff Stoutland kind of o-line coach. One who coaches the o-line up to play with an attitude. I do not know of a young o-line coach like that, though.

As for OC, someone who can repeat after me, "run the ball." One who, on 4th and 1, is not in the shotgun.

Exactly & it's hard too watch..

Only consolation i enjoyed about our beat down yesterday, was the absolute misery, it had too be for the Oklahoma fan base after our win last week & yeahhhh I've come to hate The Gooner's like I do The Barn, Swamp Kittens & of course The Viles..😁😁😁

Albert Einstein is attributed to having said, "insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results". I fear that CKD is so loyal to his assistants and his style of play that he will continue doing the same things moving forward and expect different results. With him saying how close we are by a thin line tells me he will not change his style of play, and will not fire any staff. IMO, we see the same issues next year. At my age, I hope I am wrong and we see major changes.

Amen Brother..Running the ball is a football philosophy & a mindset, you learn in the offseason, in the hot days of practices in two a days..

I'm just worried it's a coaching problem, putting more emphasis, on the passing game instead of pounding the ball in our running game..

Only problem is our passing game & pass protection is baddddd as well..

When you suck in all phases of the game like yesterday, I dunno what to think in all honesty, that's on our coaching staff & I hope it's fixable cause I love Coach Deboer he's a good guy..

Yup..Don't keep running the same slowwww developing plays over & over Indiana was loving it as they methodically stomped a mud hole in us..

Try a toss sweep or something..

And hire who?
Who are you HONESTLY gonna hire right now who will be a big improvement?
I mean if you're gonna want the coach gone at least have a list of candidates to provide.
If I had my wish? Demeco Ryans. Alabama alum. Head coaching experience (only in the NFL, so no recruiting experience other than being the recruit). He would be a solid hire.

We had two other embarrassing losses in bowl game and after those losses we came back from those.
One was getting blown out by Nebraska in 71 38-6. We recovered from that and were a dominant team in the 70's.
Second one was in 91 when Louisville thoroughly embarrassed us 34-7. We won the title the next year and had several good seasons after that.
I'm hoping we bounce back as well from this one.

oof...fireable statistics but too expensive to do that...I hope these are being presented to our staff and players...
The first person that should be explaining these numbers is Kalen DeBoer to Greg Byrne. When he is finished, he needs to tell to the AD what the plan for improvement happens to be..
And Byrne needs to make it crystal clear there needs to be changes and let his assistant know “crap does flow downhill”.

Whenever I see an offense on 3rd or 4th and 1 lining up in the shotgun or pistol, it says the offensive mentality is "Oh, please don't hurt me!"
It just seems weak, soft, and scared.
