Link: 2026 Transfer Portal

I would be inclined to agree with you if you had this same energy when Saban had Bryce Young running for his life and Simpson on the bench for Milroe as well.

Temper your expectations means Alabama is not going to win bidding wars for portal players. They are going to miss on “diamonds in the rough.”

The guys coming back to Alabama is portal work, imagine your sunny disposition if those “I’m coming back” messages were commitment announcements to other schools. How fast do you want them to work exactly? Each kid is a contract renegotiation!

Regarding the talent leaving, this is also the talent that has been blown out and looked unprepared that you’re also crying about.

Can we please just step back from the nonsense and let them work?

I’m not understanding the bolded point.

Even with a messed up throwing arm in 2022 Bryce was not the problem.

We lost 2 games by 4 Points Total and Bryce threw for almost 800 yards in those two games.

Threw for over 3,000 Yards and 32 TDs with a QB rating near identical to his Heisman year.

Even limited he was a better option than 2 guys who never started before.

Who would call for a Heisman QB to be benched when he’s not the problem for an option out of 2 unknowns?

Milroe was an abomination at QB in 2024.

He actively played a strong role in all 4 losses.

Tenn and OU specifically in ‘24 was some of the worst pass attempts I’ve ever seen in my life and they still never gave Ty a shot.

The 1st half of this season before his back injury Ty was accurate at a 70% clip.

He was Super Accurate and even set a Completion record streak.

These idiots had him on the bench in ‘24 for a guy who couldn’t even remotely throw an accurate short or mid range pass.

Threw 11 INTs… Multiple Pick 6s… multiple fumbles.

He can’t even make an active game day roster most weeks in the NFL.

Ty is going to be a Top 15 pick by most accounts.

This staff looks like absolute morons.

So now its because of the money spent or not spent?!? You do realize that there is a Cap, correct? That that Cap isn't just for football, right?

If we aren't finished yet, how can you say we haven't added depth?

Here's a crazy idea: Why don't we all sit back and see how it shakes out...
First, the cap is only for the University side. That's not the booster side, there is still no cap there.

Secondly, if the university has any common sense, and I assume they do, there will be a minimum for each player. This way you don't have to constantly fight to retain guys, you don't have to worry too much about team dynamics. For instance in this case you have 20 million right?

Only the biggest idiot on earth spends that for anything other than basketball and football. Because only those two programs generate revenue, it's revenue sharing right? You'd be an enormous moron to go spend it on some sport no one cares about. Anyway, for instance 100K per player, that's enough to pay 200 players. That's not really an issue, that's a negligible amount. The athletic department is in good shape, like I said enough to pay 47 million for a golf practice facility (those guys certainly don't need NIL, they can just bask in the glory of that obscene waste of money). So the scholarship end is no big deal.

So each guy you sign, each 3 star, you are outbidding basically every non-power conference from the start, all without doing any real damage to your NIL. I mean look at the numbers man, they have what up to 9 guys incoming? You spend 1 million out of 20 for depth, that's negligible.

And to reiterate the issue with waiting is the good sleeper picks get taken first! You do your evaluation, you make your moves, you don't sit on your hands and then get up late and go alright time to get to work.

There's a revenue sharing cap yes. But all the other stuff, no.

The previous staff had him on the bench too, you know the staff with the greatest head coach of all time? DeBoer took a first year starter in the SEC and got to the championship and playoffs with him.

The bolded part implies that the biggest issue you have with DeBoer is that he’s not Nick Saban.

So the "majority" is always right?
No one is currently right. LOL! We won't know that until next season to see how the team plays. If the team is much better at blocking on the OL, we have a running game, we're not getting out physicaled in games and we're not getting blown out, then we can look back at this time and say a lot of people overreacted. If we see more of the same old, then we can look back and say the peanut gallery was right and the ones who screamed "be patient" were dead wrong. Should be a fun offseason.

Indiana beat Oregon by 34. They beat us by 35. Oregon had more first downs and total yards than Indiana. Big difference in the game was turnovers. We weren’t even competitive with Indiana. This is not true.
All's I know is Bama stayed in the game longer than Oregon did. Bama was just down 10-0 when Simpson took the hit that effectively ended it. Oregon got a lot of garbage points after they fell down 42-7, because their QB starter was still able to play and ours got knocked out.

Nobody is saying, "I'm right" but we all are saying "we've got to wait and see" but the board's mood is because we can't see "proof of change" that it'll be the same ole same ole.

CNS AND CKD, made the decision two years in a row for JM.

Neither made sense to me, but what we don't know is what CKD had to do to hold off more of the team from leaving year 1. It seems the same LANK players that got their way in '23 (after the USF debacle) were the ones who stayed and played in '24.

This is Alabama. We don't measure ourselves by how much we lost by to Indiana in the Rose Bowl.

We cant just shut the message board down and wait til next season. We literally have thousands of posters on this board and not everyone is going to be in lock step agreement with their opinions or thoughts. Message boards are cutlets for fans to communicate and its serving its purpose for this discussion. Some people are optimistic and some arent. The board is here to capture both views. (y)

The best thing is to speak your opinion and let others speak there's (within board rules). Not expect one group to not express theirs because its very different from mine.

Spicoli turned IOU around in 2 years. All our coach had to do is not wreck the Ferrari. Well, we are in the shop. We all agree he needs time to get this thing right but upcoming is year 3 and we are seeing fundamental breakdowns on the field still. Dude needs to strap it up and right the ship in 2026.

People are married to ideas to the point that they are unwilling to accept any counter points. The truth is Alabama vs Indiana was far more competitive than Indiana vs Oregon. Take away the 4th down fiasco and Simpson not sliding and then we are probably going into halftime in a one score game and a healthy quarterback. The second Ty got hurt all hope faded. Oregon never had a shot at any point and they artificially made it closer with their starting quarterback.

Both are blowouts but only one was a competitive game starting the 2nd half
