Bama (finally) Fires OL Coach Kapilovic

Many have been immediately demanding, "Bring in these players YESTERDAY."

(The evening after losing to Oklahoma / Georgia / Indiana) "Dump Kapilovic!"

A few of you only have been saying "Bide your time and let's see...."

I pray Kap's replacement is excellent!

Anyone who’s watched Alabama football the last two seasons and the fiasco that has been all things oline and doesn’t applaud a change isn’t being realistic.

Possibly Huff could come once Rams season is over, as far as tight ends coach Rob Ezell would be a good one, familiar with Womack who he coached under
Might need to expand the list. I've seen some names as

Alex Akins
Mickey Conn
Brandon Jones

It could be anyone out of blue. I just don't see Huff coming to Alabama......

I think the Scott Huff rumor picks up a lot of steam if the Rams win this weekend and a replacement isn’t named by EOD Monday. This is usually the type of hire that is basically in place by the time a change is announced and there are almost no other candidates who have anything to wait out beyond anyone on one of the four NFL staffs still playing.

This is last time I'll touch on this.

This isn't the issue that started this year. It's been going on for years .... Started under Saban and it continued.

Doug Marrone
Eric Wolford
And now Kap.

I really believe Kap walked into a bad situation and he just didn't do great job. It is what it is... But for anyone to out this 100 percent on Kap needs to go back and watch the films the last few years.

I disagree with notion that firing Kap probably saved CKD job. That's ridiculous. We shouldn't be subscribe to that theory. What I do believe that there was lot of issues within OL room. Part of that was missed evaluations by Saban, not right fit for CKD system and etc.

Even then... The OL line we had this last season was good enough to put production on the field and we didn't get the results we wanted .. so I get it. I just don't think it has to do anything with CKD job. He just didn't produce. Same thing for RB coach. He didn't produce. The coaching staff saw the same thing we saw and there was no way CKD was gonna allow that to happen again. Any coach with common sense would've done same thing he did today by letting him go.

It was best for them to move on. More changes are coming....

And don't assume Huff and Pittman are coming. Think outside the box. What coaches out there would work well with offense scheme? Who is the best at developing players and getting them ready to play? I wouldn't be shocked if it came from NFL circle.

I don't think they make a move unless they have a pretty good idea on who they'll hire.
