How exactly would Trump order Massachusetts (for example) to not hold elections? What would be the enforcement mechanism?
To the uninformed, he could talk about his executive order suspending elections which would no doubt have an effect on turnout. Sympathizers could frustrate voting with questioning IDs. There is a whole bunch of stuff they can do to muck up elections.

If they had elections anyway, he would sue saying they are against his order and delay people taking office.

See that is the thing with Trump, he doesnt care about the law. He cares who is capable and willing to enforce the law against him. If there is no one capable or willing he just does what he wants to.

And if people in leadership are not preparing with this, his objective, in mind they will be run over.

Trump issues an executive order telling states not to hold elections.
Massachusetts responds by saying, "Thanks for your input but we're good. Massachusetts will be holding elections as scheduled."
Then what? A lawsuit? Where? The U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts? And who is going to enforce it? The Army? Do a quick AI search of the number of soldiers in the US military and the number of polling places across the United States.
And what do you think would be the impact on voter participation in Massachusetts if Trump did "order" Massachusetts to not hold elections? I would think it would massively expand voter turnout and turn that turnout decidedly against Republicans (if there are any in Massachusetts).

I just do not see how this is a realistic scenario.

May not be, but it is worthwhile to contingency plan around such absurd attempts. Trump is on the precipice of gaining authoritarian power by doing outlandish things that no one would consider while neutering those who can and should stop him.

I suppose he could snuff out the sun and promise to bring back the sun s long as nobody holds elections.

If you want something realistic to worry about worry about one company owning Paramount & Warner Brothers. I am not an attorney, but I would think that this deal has FCC issues as well as Sherman antitrust issues.

90% of Iran’s oil was going to China.
70% of Venezuela’s oil was going to China.

China’s now facing a 2 million barrel hole. And the world is on notice the Petrodollar does not forgive.
China has 2.67 million barrels of crude in storage inside China and is dramatically decreasing use of protreum for power production through massive research and production of renewables.

They rank #2 in the world in oil usage, requiring some 16m bpd, while producing only about 5m bpd.

Matt Walsh: I can't take the gaslighting, guys. I really can't. Conservatives are now running around saying "Iran has been waging war on us for 47 years." Okay then why didn't any of you call for an attack on Iran at any point until now? Why didn't you make a case for Trump "ending the war, not starting it" until precisely the moment when Trump did it? You and I both know that you are latching onto a talking point you never used until 45 seconds ago. You and I both know that almost every conservative influencer in the business was opposed to war with Iran until just now. And now you're trying to use justifications that stretch back decades. It doesn't make any sense. If you changed your mind, fine. Say so. Explain why. You're allowed to change your mind. I've changed my mind about things. But don't try to rewrite history. Be honest about it. There's too much at stake to play these games.

Yep. The cult can't help itself.
