Link: Texas Tech QB Sorsby Entering Treatment for Gambling Addiction

Just imagine what would be happening if Jameis Winston or Lawrence Phillips were playing now. Cam Newton got paid by an offering plate collective after stealing computers. Oh that's right they got to play anyway...

Paternity and Sandusky coached while covering and abusing kids...

Just another horse out of the barn, imo.

And any rule they try to come up with will be challenged as “you’re trying to restrict my ability to earn money” and will get shot down.
I can see the day when a lawyer comes running on the field as the ref is ejecting a player for targeting. The lawyer will be yelling "you can't do that. You're restricting my client's ability to make money and here's the restraining order to stop this injustice"

Wait can we get a restraining order for a certain SEC ref?

This ruling is a complete and utter disgrace. I guess you can get a court to give you an injunction for literally anything, unless you're a player for Alabama. Just unbelievable.

Meanwhile, back in Alabama, Charles Bediako would be ruining college Athletics if he's allowed to play according to the Mastermind of the SEC- Greg Sankey
And to that point, I don't even see as much outrage from the media about this as I saw about Bediako. There is definitely some, as there should be, but I see way more neutral reporting on this than I did with Bediako. It seemed like with Bediako, EVERYONE had an opinion.

I know many treatment directors and physicians that specialize in addiction treatment that would look this judge, his attorney, his coach Joey McGuire, Texas Tech President Lawrence Schovanec, and super booster Cody Campbell directly in the eyes and say “Congratulations gentleman. You have just increased the risk that Sorsby is either dead or in jail by about 10-fold before the age of 35. I hope ya’ll will take the time to visit him in prison or at the cemetery when that happens”.

The NCAA plans to appeal the decision. But the appeal will be heard by the Texas Seventh District Court of Appeals. All four judges are Texas Tech Law graduates.

The NCAA has been so wrong so often over the years. But in this case they are absolutely correct. The legal system has been kicking the NCAA in the groin over eligibility and NIL for the past several years.

Today the courts went ahead and finished the job by completing neutering them.
